What Is the Foundation Of Your Economic Beliefs?
    By Bill Frezza

What is the moral foundation of your economic beliefs? Do economic beliefs even require a moral foundation?

Do you find it natural to accept the varied religious beliefs of others even if they contradict your own? On the other hand, are you often at odds with people who espouse different economic beliefs and policies? Why, especially if the former forms the foundation for the latter?

Would you ever use the ballot box to force others to practice your religion or make them pay to build you a church? Why do you find it easy to do this with your economic beliefs, compelling others to foot the bill for the public policies you promote?

Do you believe that wealth is prima facie evidence of thievery? Of privilege? Do you think wealth can only be created off the backs of the poor? Is there a fixed amount of wealth in the world for all to share? If so, where did it come from and how has mankind been getting richer for the past 200 years? And if the poor wish to escape exploitation by the rich, why do they keep sneaking in to our country rather than out?

Do you admire highly paid sports figures yet disdain highly compensated business executives? Why? Does it matter whether the shareholders in the companies that employ these executives feel they are getting their money's worth? And if you're not a shareholder, what makes this issue your concern?

Is poverty an absolute indicator of worthiness? Do you believe the poor bear any responsibility for changing their condition? If not, whose responsibility is it and why? Should the poor be held accountable if they don't make efforts to help themselves? Who should hold them accountable and how?

If a poor person becomes rich through hard work then resists handing his money over for the benefit of the poor, is he a traitor to his class? Should he be treated differently than someone who inherits great wealth? How about someone who wins the lottery? Why?

Does every poor person have a moral claim on every rich person regardless of how they got rich or poor? Where does this claim come from? Are claims limited to people living in the same country or do they extend to all humanity? Why? Is it the job of government to mediate these claims? If you believe highly progressive taxation and expansive government entitlements are necessary to reduce economic inequality, does it matter to you if the attendant incentives and disincentives reduce the total amount of wealth available to be shared? Is making all people equally poor an acceptable solution to inequality?

Are you careful not to judge people by the color of their skin yet sometimes quick to make judgments based on economic status? If so, do you make distinctions based solely on wealth or lack thereof or does it make a difference to you how an individual became rich or poor?

Would you steal money from your own children? Would you steal money from other people's children? What makes it socially acceptable to let Congress do this for you?

Do you contribute to charity? Would you gang up with your neighbors and force others to contribute to your charities? What makes it OK to hire Congress to do this for you?

Do you believe in a right to privacy? Should citizens accused of a crime be considered innocent until proven guilty, with the burden of proof falling on the prosecution? Do you believe the accused have a right to remain silent? How would you feel if the government compelled a vast network of informers to file reports on the behavior of citizens whether or not they've been accused of a crime? OK then, what is the moral principle that allows you to make exceptions to these beliefs when it comes to a person's income and investments?

When you see corruption between business and politicians, are you inclined to shrug and accept it as the nature of man? If corruption touches your own business are you impelled to speak out, do you tolerate it in silence while sticking to your principles, or do you seek your share of the spoils because everyone else is doing it?

Do you resent being asked to justify your economic beliefs or the moral foundation they rest on? Do your ends always justify your means? Do you feel entitled to having your beliefs respected solely because they are yours? Would you feel the same way about your mathematical beliefs?

Are you comfortable holding contradictory beliefs? When was the last time you questioned them? What do you do when you discover you hold two beliefs that contradict each other?

Are you happy to see the state to which we've fallen - pressure group pitted against pressure group, old against young, citizen against citizen all fighting to grab a share of the swelling portion of our national income funneled through the hands of Congress? What other outcome would you expect when moral foundations crumble?

  • Liberals are liars

    Liberals are liars.
Caught again going against what they say they stand for.
They agree with free speech and freedom from unjust persecution........
as long as you agree with THEM.

    Case in point:
Whole Foods president John Mackey recently wrote an op ed article critical of ZerO's health care plan. He actually has a great plan for his over 10,000 employees and a plan that would work for most Americans.
But he did go against the false god of the liberals.
    So what do they do?
First, let's talk about what conservatives do when a business goes against their political beliefs.
They disagree with a company owner's politcal views.
    They just stop shopping there.
They feel the business owner has the right to voice his opinions, but if they strongly disagree with him, they simply stop patronizing his stores. They realize that they will not really hurt that business, but they believe in the principal of what they are doing.

    What do libs do?
They disagree with his political views.
They feel he has no right to even voice those views.
They decide that as punishment for voicing his views, they now want to run him out of business.
They also aren't concerned with what would become of his more than 10,000 employees if they succeeded in running him out of business.
ALL they are concerned about is getting their way, regardless of who it hurts.
They also want it to serve as a warning to other business owners of what will happen to THEM if they DARE to disagree with their false god ZerO.
(Remember not long ago, "Stretch" Pelosi said that not allowing opposing views is "unAmerican")

So, in summary, libs feel that if a business owner disagrees with their political views, he should be run out of business, and his employees all be out on the street and filing for unemployment.

Oh, those libs. They are SOOOOO open minded, aren't they?

Side note: According to Whole Foods, the boycotts haven't hurt their business at all.
Hawkeye View: The stupid libs have attracted conservatives who agree with Mackey, who have never shopped at Whole Foods, to start shopping there.

  • Obama Administration: Home of the Whopper
    By Bryan Riley
A recent Washington Post op-ed by Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius suggests a new motto for the Obama Administration: "Home of the Whopper." The Sebelius piece contains no fewer than 10 health care whoppers, including:

Whopper Number 1: Americans are too stupid to buy their own health insurance.

SEBELIUS: Americans are left to worry about whether they'll get laid off and lose their insurance or wake up from surgery with a $10,000 bill because they didn't read the fine print on their policy.

FACT: Most health care policies are fairly straightforward. My own Health Savings Account plan is so simple that even a congressman could understand it. I pay everything up to the deductible, and the insurance company pays everything after the deductible. According to the America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), the number of Americans covered by these plans has grown from 0 in 2004 to 8 million today.

Whopper Number 2: Americans can't get coverage for preexisting conditions.

SEBELIUS: The current health-care system gives insurance companies all the power. They get to pick and choose who gets a policy. They can deny coverage because of a preexisting condition.

FACT: That's not true for the 177 million Americans who have group health insurance, where it's illegal to deny coverage to someone who has a preexisting condition. It's true that someone who waits until after they're sick to apply for an individual policy can be denied coverage or charged a higher premium, but once they're approved their coverage can never be dropped or their premium increased due to a change in their health.

Whopper Number 3: Government health care will promote stronger doctor-patient relationships.

SEBELIUS: Imagine a system in which your doctor spends as much time trying to keep you healthy as treating you when you're sick, in which you and your doctor have all the information you need to choose the treatments that work best for you, in which you never have to fill out the same paperwork twice. Health reform is the first step in that direction.

FACT: This ABC news report on how Medicaid-financed dental care works for children demonstrates how government health care programs could work for the rest of us:

Little boy: "They said if you don't stop crying, um, that I couldn't see my mom again."

Little girl: "I was like crying for my mom and I was crying because they were hurting me".

    Reporter: "And did anybody stop?"
Little girl, shaking head: "Hmm-mmm. I told them to stop but they wouldn't stop."

Mom: "He (her five-year-old son) comes walking out of that door, his whole shirt was full of sweat, he had blood dripping from his mouth, and all I could see was silver shining through."

Whopper Number 4: Young college grads have a tough time finding health insurance.

SEBELIUS: When my two sons graduated from college, I had mixed feelings. I was incredibly proud of their accomplishments, but I dreaded the fact that they would lose their health insurance when they left school.

FACT: If her sons lived in Kansas, they could have bought the same type of policy I have for $36 per month, less than most people spend on cable television. If they didn't qualify for that plan and didn't get a job that offered coverage, her family still could have afforded the guaranteed-issue insurance plan available to anyone in the state who has no other options.

Whopper Number 5: Americans shouldn't waste their time trying to understand the details of Obama's proposal.

SEBELIUS: [W]e can't let the details distract us from the huge benefits that reform will bring. Nor should we let ourselves be distracted by attacks that try to use the complexity of health reform to freeze Americans in inaction.

FACT: An insurance agent who advised his clients to ignore the fine print in a proposed policy could wind up in jail. Anyone who says "don't worry about the details, this is too complex for you to understand anyway," probably has something to hide.

Whopper Number 6: More government means more choices.

SEBELIUS: By giving Americans choices, health reform will switch the roles. Americans will get peace of mind and insurance companies will start getting nervous.

FACT: It is difficult to see how people will get peace of mind if they are forced to switch control of their health care from their current insurance plans, which 72 percent of Americans are satisfied with, to Congress, which 24 percent of Americans are satisfied with.

Whopper Number 7: The Obama plan will help entrepreneurs.

SEBELIUS: Right now, many entrepreneurs are paralyzed by our fractured car insurance system. They know that if they leave their job, they might not be able to get car insurance for their families.

FACT: I misquoted Sebelius by replacing the phrase "health insurance" with "car insurance." As long as someone can pay their premiums, they never have to worry about losing their car insurance just because they change jobs. But the federal government's tax and regulatory policies deny people the same flexibility when it comes to health insurance.

Whopper Number 8: The Obama plan will slow health-care costs without slashing benefits or reducing the quality of care.

SEBELIUS: By acting now, we have the chance to slow health-care costs in a way that doesn't slash benefits or reduce care.

FACT: Previous federal efforts to meddle in health care, including misguided tax policy and flawed Medicare reimbursement schemes, have resulted in skyrocketing insurance premiums. The best way to slow health-care costs is to give more power to consumers, and the Obama plan would do the opposite.

Whopper Number 9: Government health care will deliver incredible results at low prices.

SEBELIUS: Instead, we can make investments in prevention, wellness and health information technology that will allow the health-care system to deliver incredible results at prices we can all afford.

FACT: Because government programs under-pay doctors and hospitals for their services, those health care providers are forced to make up the difference by shifting costs to people who have insurance. According to Milliman, Inc., Medicare and Medicaid under-payments increase the cost of health insurance by $88 billion. Instead of fixing this problem, President Obama has proposed even more Medicare cuts.

Whopper Number 10: There is no alternative solution to the nation's health care problems.

SEBELIUS: We've learned over the past 20 years that "socialized medicine" and "government-run health care" are code words for "don't change anything." With some insurers raising premiums by more than 25 percent and 14,000 people losing their health insurance every day, Americans want to hear something more from their leaders than "wait and see" and "more of the same."

FACT: It is the Obama administration that has blocked change by rejecting simple, mainstream proposals to improve health care, for example by providing financial support to people who can't afford insurance or giving a tax break to individuals who buy their own insurance.

Unfortunately for Americans, the Obama administration has chosen to cloud the health care reform discussion by throwing out new whoppers every day rather than engaging in an honest public debate.

  • Future history will show.....

The election of Obama was also

"The Rise Of The White Male Sycophant"

With the rise of the left wing Marxist Obama movement along
with the rapid expansion of the homosexual acceptance
movement here in Rome(America) along with the rapid feminism
of America driven by Chinese and Russian influence the white male sycophant has
risen to new heights on TV and in our American culture.

The white male sycophant is easy to spot. Pasty, pudgy,
mindless minions of weak soft white men. Gravitating behind
the anointed black messiah Obama like the flying
monkeys in the Wizard of Oz.

Take heed America for the election of Obama
has exposed a new destructive phenomenon.

    The weak white male sycophant.

The white male sycophant gets his high from that false
feeling of white guilt suppression. He was programmed to
feel guilty about being white from constant mind programming
and bombardment from Government schools using Politically
Correct history distortion and obfuscation tactics

His high is satisfied when he bows before the Obama God

As the weak shriveling minions of white male sycophants
follow behind the politically correct messiah Obama the
entire fabric of America is torn by the politically correct
    forces of evil and tyranny

You can see them scurrying about like little rats blindly
following behind the politically correct lemmings and
feminist minions as they plunge over the political cliff
into the raging sea. Speak out against Obama and they
will swarm you like human piranhas calling you racist and
    backwards and a Klan member

How dare you call our Black Messiah incompetent and
inexperienced and unqualified. He can't be!??! He's Black!!!

(Chorus of we're not worthy--we're not worthy from white
    sycophants)

America will never be the same as the forces of politically
correct tyranny seek to weaken America by lessening the very
bedrock culture that built her. The strong white male men
of the west the types like John Wayne have been transformed
by the Marxist American media into a weak shriveling
sycophant minion servant of strong women and blacks on TV.

And the slow destruction of America continues driven by the
homosexual and Anti-America controlled Marxist media
    (CBS/PBS/NBC/ABC/New York Times/Huffington Post
    and others)

  • There is a medical distinction. We've all heard about people having guts or balls, but do you really know the difference between them? In an effort to keep you informed, the definitions are listed below:

GUTS - Is arriving home late after a night out with the guys, being met by your wife with a broom, and having the Guts to ask: 'Are you still cleaning, or are you flying somewhere?'

BALLS - Is coming home late after a night out with the guys, smelling of perfume and beer, lipstick on your collar, slapping your wife on the butt and having the Balls to say: 'You're next, Chubby.'

I hope this clears up any confusion on the definitions.

Medically speaking there is no difference in the outcome – both result in death.

  • By Peter Brimelow, MarketWatch
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- The top-performing letter that predicted the Crash of 2008 now predicts a confiscatory Franklin D. Roosevelt-style "bank holiday." But it's surprisingly sanguine about stocks -- in the (very) short term.

The Harry Schultz Letter (HSL) was my pick for Letter of the Year in 2008 because it really did predict what it rightly called a coming "financial tsunami." But its performance in 2008 was still terrible, albeit arguably for technical reasons. ( See Dec. 28, 2008, column.)

Now HSL has bounced back big-time. ( See April 13 column.) Over the year to date through May, it's up a remarkable 81.7% by Hulbert Financial Digest count, compared to 4.1% for the dividend-reinvested Wilshire 5000 Total Stock Market Index.

Of course, simple arithmetic dictates that doesn't make up for 2008 -- over the past 12 months, HSL is still down 48.19% versus negative 32.63% for the total return Wilshire 5000. In fact, the damage inflicted by 2008 was so great that HSL is also under water over the past three years, down an annualized 14.89% against a drop of 8.18% annualized for the total return Wilshire 5000.

Still, over the past five years, the letter has achieved an annualized gain of 9.19%, compared to negative 1.26% annualized for the total return Wilshire 5000. This reflects its success in catching the post-millennium hard-asset bull market that caused me to name it Letter of the Year, for more conventional reasons, in 2005. ( See Dec. 29, 2005, column.)

And over the past 10 years, the letter still shows an annualized gain of 3.65%, against negative 0.86% annualized for the total return Wilshire.

In its current issue, HSL reports rumors that "Some U.S. embassies worldwide are being advised to purchase massive amounts of local currencies; enough to last them a year. Some embassies are being sent enormous amounts of U.S. cash to purchase currencies from those governments, quietly. But not pound sterling. Inside the State Dept., there is a sense of sadness and foreboding that 'something' is about to happen ... within 180 days, but could be 120-150 days."

Yes, yes, it's paranoid. But paranoids have enemies -- and the Crash of 2008 really did happen.

HSL's suspicion: "Another FDR-style 'bank holiday' of indefinite length, perhaps soon, to let the insiders sort out the bank mess, which (despite their rosy propaganda campaign) is getting more out of their control every day. Insiders want to impose new bank rules. Widespread nationalization could result, already underway. It could also lead to a formal U.S. dollar devaluation, as FDR did by revaluing gold (and then confiscating it)."

HSL is still sticking with its 20-year "V" formation forecast, but emphasizes that within the current 10-year downtrend phase there will be rallies that will "last 1-2 years." It attributes its current success to "successfully trading almost daily, especially in commodity stocks (coal/potash/energy/ fertilizer/gold). Take profits constantly and rebuy on mini pullbacks. Prefer non-U.S. dollar companies; many such companies are listed in U.S. & Canada or Australia."

HSL says: "The world is staggering today between stagflation and net deflation right now; it varies widely around globe. Net deflation is a maybe 35% risk, due to toxics and/or deepening depression. Bit more likely, we'll slowly creep up to a dangerous 4.5% inflation on average, medium-term. But the wild card is the currency risk, which has a 50% (?) chance of boiling over and causing literally overnight (i.e. 24 hours) mega inflation in the asset markets."

Nevertheless, in the very short term, HSL's charting leads it to say: "we MAY not get a new bear market decline that many bears are predicting. Likewise, DJIA & S&P500; may build a Head-and Shoulders right shoulder."

    HSL's currently recommended allocation:

    • 35%-45% Government notes, bills and bonds. (Not U.S.)

    • 8%-10% Stocks (non-golds).

    • 10%-30% Commodities, via futures, commodity stocks and/or physical assets.

    • 35%-45% Gold stocks and bullion.

  • You might recall that John Hinckley was a seriously deranged young man who shot President Reagan in the early 1980's.

Hinckley was absolutely obsessed with movie star Jodie Foster, extremely jealous, and in his twisted mind, loved Jodie Foster to the point that to make himself well known to her, he attempted to assassinate President Reagan.

There is speculation Hinckley may soon be released as having been
rehabilitated. Consequently, you may appreciate the following letter from Nancy Reagan to the staff at the mental facility treating Hinckley reports to have intercepted:
    *
    *
    *
    To: John Hinckley
    From: Mrs. Nancy Reagan

My family and I wanted to drop you a short note to tell you how pleased we are
with the great strides you are making in your recovery. In our fine

  • The Wheel and Beer

    -----------------------------...

For those that don't know about history ... Here is a condensed version:

Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter.

The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:

    1. Liberals, and
    2. Conservatives.

Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed.

Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative movement.

Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q's and doing the sewing, fetching, and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement.

Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. Those became known as girlie-men. Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided.

Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the jackass.

Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare. Another interesting evolutionary side note: most of their women have higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn't fair to make the pitcher also bat.

Conservatives drink domestic beer, mostly Bud or Miller. They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, engineers, corporate executives, athletes, members of the military, airline pilots and generally anyone who works productively. Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work
    for a living.

Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America . They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for nothing.

Here ends today's lesson in world history.

It should be noted that a Liberal may have a momentary urge to angrily respond to the above.

A Conservative will simply laugh and be so convinced of the absolute truth of this history that they will record it immediately for historical value and to generally tick liberals off.

First President Bush, then President Obama poured billions into General Motors and Chrysler to keep the companies alive but barely breathing. That was just for starters. Next came Obama's creation of an Auto Task Force to oversee the auto companies. To head the task force, the president picked Steve Rattner, a Wall Street investor with no experience in automaking but lots in raising campaign money for Obama and Democrats.

GM and Chrysler were quickly restructured, mostly to the benefit of the United Auto Workers, the union which spent millions in 2008 to elect Obama and Democrats. The UAW now owns 17.5 percent of GM and 55 percent of Chrysler--quite a return on an investment of zero dollars. Obama said all parties should "sacrifice," but only bondholders did. They got a fraction of what they were legally entitled to receive. UAW retirees, in contrast, got a gift of $9.5 billion at GM and $14.2 billion at Chrysler.

There's an epilogue. Delphi, the auto parts manufacturer once owned by GM and still its biggest supplier, has been in bankruptcy for four years. To acquire its assets and run the company, Delphi and Obama's Auto Task Force picked an affiliate of the private equity firm Platinum Equity. There was no auction or competitive bidding, though Platinum stands to make millions in the deal. Why Platinum? The UAW favored it, sources said.

There's a name for all this: crony capitalism. Obama insists he believes in capitalism, but it's not the free market variety that he's been promoting since he became president. Obamanomics is a different strain entirely.

Crony capitalism is usually identified with Third World despots, like Hugo Chávez, who reward their friends and allies in the business and financial communities. Some might be appointed to top government jobs, as Rattner was. But the chief characteristic of crony capitalism is favoritism for some companies or organizations (unions, for example)--in loans, grants, giveaways, and specific policies.

There's another aspect. Obama isn't merely rewarding a few cronies, he's seeking more and more favored groups to reward. One way he's doing this is through his energy, health care, and other policies, which would boost certain companies and industries over others. Another way is by providing cheap capital, which gives firms an advantage over competitors who must acquire capital at higher interest rates in private markets. The Federal Reserve, along with Obama's Treasury Department, plays a big role here.

The effect of Obama's approach to business has been enormous. In less than six months, he's changed the relationship between the private sector and Washington. Companies increasingly "compete for government favoritism, not for consumer choice or preferences," says Republican representative Paul Ryan of Wisconsin.

"Members of Congress are being besieged with calls from businesses who have an expectation of getting a check from Washington," Ryan says. "The business mindset is, if the government is going to pick winners and losers, I want to be a winner. What it means is all roads lead to Washington."

Crony capitalism is a two-way street. Obama gains politically from it. His administration has guaranteed $306 billion in toxic assets (mostly subprime mortgages) held by Citigroup and taken a 34 percent ownership stake in the giant investment bank. In return, Citigroup lobbied Congress to give judges "cramdown" authority, the power to alter the terms of housing contracts. The legislation was defeated.

Obama has been adept at enlisting companies likely to profit from his policies at the expense of their competitors. In a letter to the president last week, Walmart announced support for requiring all companies to provide health insurance for employees, a key element of the president's health care initiative. Walmart, the nation's largest private employer, has an interest in an employer mandate, since its smaller rivals would have far more trouble complying.

Besides subsidizing the UAW, Obama has exploited his takeover of GM to reward at least one liberal special interest, the environmental lobby. The Auto Task Force decided GM should produce a class B, Yugo-like car in the United States (instead of China as previously planned), an auto tentatively dubbed Spark. GM has little expertise in manufacturing a cheap, lightweight, low mileage car of this class, nor is there an obvious market for it.

It's cap and trade, the core of Obama's energy policy, that offers the biggest opportunity for crony capitalism and for dividing and conquering the business community. Indeed the bill approved by the House would unleash a plethora of government favors for carefully chosen recipients. While setting a limit on overall carbon emissions, the measure would let the Obama administration hand out 85 percent of the emission allowances or credits. Fifteen percent would be auctioned.

Who would benefit? The biggest chunk, 44 percent of the free allowances, would go to the electric power industry, which is a major supporter of the legislation. Those in the business of energy efficiency or renewable energy would be apportioned 9.5 percent. Another 5 percent would be allotted to firms seeking reduced "deforestation."

The recipients of these free allowances would be able to use or sell them. And it would be a seller's market. Domestic oil refiners, for instance, would be desperate for allowances. If the bill passes the Senate, the refiners will get just 2.5 percent of the free emission credits, though they emit many times that in greenhouse gases. Like GM and Chrysler's creditors, they're out of favor with Obama and will be penalized.

Crony capitalism may have its limits, but no thanks to Obama. Cap and trade may not pass the Senate. And the sweetheart deal arranged by the Auto Task Force that would have turned Delphi over to a well-connected private equity firm was nullified by a skeptical federal judge. The deal would have left bondholders, who've financed Delphi during its bankruptcy, with as little as 20 percent of their investment. Most of Delphi's fresh financing would have come from GM, thus from taxpayers.

The judge, Robert Drain, balked at the cozy arrangement. "I don't understand what's so special about Platinum," he said. " As far as I'm concerned they're just guys in suits, and there are other guys in suits who might be able to pay more." The judge ordered an auction--that is, free market competition for Delphi. To put it another way, the opposite of crony capitalism.

0: The number of unrehearsed, unscripted questions asked of President Obama during his “Town Hall” on health care reform.

13: The number of teeth that British veteran Ian Boynton pulled out himself with pliers “because he couldn’t find an NHS (National Health Service) dentist… [he] could not afford to go private for treatment so instead took the drastic action to remove 13 of his teeth that were giving him severe pain.”

14: The percentage of all patients in Britain who wait more than one (1) year to receive treatment after a referral by a general practitioner. Half of all National Health Care patients in Britain wait between 18 and 52 weeks for treatment.

37: The “health care ranking” assigned to the U.S. by the World Health Organization among the world’s countries. This oft-quoted number is used to justify an overhaul of the U.S. health care system and lists countries like Italy (2), Andorra (4), Malta (5), Singapore (6), Oman (8), Portugal (12), Greece (14), the United Kingdom (18), Ireland (19), Columbia (22), Cyprus (24), Saudi Arabia (26), the UAE (27), Morocco (29), Canada (30), Chile (33), the Dominican Republic (35) and Costa Rica (36) ahead of the U.S. Considering that no U.S. citizens travel to these countries when experiencing a life-threatening situation, it’s worth questioning the methods by which the WHO arrived at these rankings. Their criteria included subjective and political assessments such as “Fairness in financial contribution“. Suffice it to say that the WHO’s rankings are clearly fraudulent and are designed to influence U.S. policy.

60: Average cancer survival rate (all types) for patients in the United States. Canada’s survival rate is significantly lower at 55%, while Europe’s is a dismal 48%.

81: Average percentage of those who survive a diagnosis of prostate cancer in the United States versus 43% in Britain under their National Health Service.

90: Number of days, on average, each Canadian patient must wait for an MRI under the Canadian government-run health care system.

750: The estimated number of people waiting in line (in the pouring rain) at Britain’s Bury Office attempting to register for dental care.

2050: By this year, “Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid (health care for the poor) will consume nearly the entire federal budget.” And by 2082, Medicare spending alone will consume the entire federal budget. This trajectory is, quite obviously, unsustainable for our children and our grandchildren. Congress is bequeathing our descendents a bankrupt health care system — for just the third of the medical system that the government already runs!

10,000: Number of Canadian breast cancer patients to file a class action lawsuit against Quebec’s hospitals because, on average, they were forced to wait 60 days to begin post-operative radiation treatments.

280,392: The number of jobs that employers would shed if government levied an employer mandate, requiring them to insure all employees. A 2007 study by Katherine Baicker of Harvard University and Helen Levy of the University of Michigan (“Employer Health Insurance Mandates and the Risk of Unemployment“) found that “0.2 percent of all full-time workers and 1.4 percent of uninsured full-time workers would lose their jobs if a health insurance mandate were written into law. Workers who would lose their jobs are disproportionately likely to be high school dropouts, minority, and female.”

443,849: The number of British patients of the National Healthcare Service (NHS) who waited four or more weeks for inpatient admittance into a hospital (Excel file) in May of 2009 (more than 75% of all patients).

1,500,000: The number of Canadians who do not have — and cannot find — a general practitioner/primary care physician due to shortages in medical staff: “In Norwood, Ontario, 20/20 videotaped a town clerk pulling the names of the lucky winners out of a lottery box. The losers must wait to see a doctor… Shirley Healy, like many sick Canadians, came to America for surgery. Her doctor in British Columbia told her she had only a few weeks to live because a blocked artery kept her from digesting food. Yet Canadian officials called her surgery ‘elective.’ …’The only thing elective about this surgery was I elected to live,’ she said.”

12,000,000: number of illegal immigrants who would qualify for free health care and — in all likelihood — additional health care rights for relatives under the Democrats’ universal health care plan, according to a reported statement by the office of Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) and spokespeople for the racial separatist group La Raza.

$311,000,000 ($311 million): The amount of additional funding requested last month by the Obama administration simply to combat Medicare fraud. Medicare fraud is estimated at $60 billion annually.

$3,600,000,000 ($3.6 billion): The amount of added malpractice insurance costs to the current health care system instigated by an out-of-control trial lawyer lobby that donates heavily to Democrat causes.

$10,000,000,000 ($10 billion): The estimated amount of Medicaid fraud, based upon FBI estimates. Criminal practices include billing for nonexistent, overstated, or unnecessary services, kickbacks to patients, inflated costs, etc.

$60,000,000,000 ($60 billion): The estimated annual amount of Medicare fraud, due to widespread criminal operations that victimize taxpayers and specialize in dead doctors, fake patients, non-existent treatments and the like.

$107,000,000,000,000 ($107 trillion): The estimated shortfall of the Medicare and Social Security programs, which are utterly and completely bankrupt; they can be legitimately called an “enormous version of Bernard Madoff’s Ponzi scheme”.

Canada and England don’t pay as high a price for their health care because they freeload on American innovation. If we utilized their systems, Americans might worry less about paying for health care, but we’d get 2009-level care and long lines. Those are the immutable laws of supply and demand. Government monopolies don’t innovate. Only the free market innovates.

Furthermore, government bureaucrats already raped the Social Security Trust Fund — there is no trust fund. They raped the Medicare Trust Fund — there’s nothing left. They raped the Highway Trust Fund — it’s empty. I could go down a long list of things the government said it would do, but hasn’t done. Because the big government statists are liars. They even moved these massive expenditures “off the books” to conceal the damage they’ve done.

And now the Democrat Party, the union bosses and the trial lawyers are launching the most massive attack on the American people in the history of government.

They promise health care for everyone, but they will not — and they can’t possibly — deliver it. The numbers don’t lie

He has been frequently named as the first martyr of the American Revolution and is the only Boston Massacre victim whose name is commonly remembered. He is regarded as an important and inspirational figure in American history.

Little is known for certain about Attucks beyond his involvement in the massacre. Fragmentary evidence suggests that he may have been of African American and Native American ancestry. In the early 19th century, as the Abolitionist movement gained momentum in Boston, Attucks was lauded as an example of a black American who played a heroic role in the history of the United States. Because Crispus Attucks may also have had Wampanoag ancestors, his story also holds special significance for many Native Americans.

He is one of the most important figures in African-American history, not for what he did for his own race but for what he did for all oppressed people everywhere. He is a reminder that the African-American heritage is not only African but American and it is a heritage that begins with the beginning of America.

Update on the WHO plan for the take over of the USA from July 27th * Contact has been made to the German army to be involved in the FEMA/WHO take over of the USA from July 27th
    By birdflu666
This morning I contacted the German army (Bundeswehr) and am preparing to send them directly a summary of the reasons, evidence and arguments why I believe the entire German population, like the US, and Austrian and Irish, French and Polish — indeed the entire world — population is in extreme danger from these WHO mandated vaccines.

These “vaccines” are classified as bioweapons under EU and US law. They are to contain substances proven to be toxic for a virus proven to come from a lab. The bioweapon vaccines are to be produced by Baxter, Novartis and GSK and forced on the world’s people by WHO in a pandemic emergency under the International Health Regulations 2005.

The Rockefellers and Rothschilds through their agents in governments (such as John Rockefeller) and in institutional investment funds (such as Arlene Rockefeller) have been systematically funneling billions of dollars into this “private” bioweapons programme since the S.666 bioweapons Senate Bill of 2003.

Baxter, Novartis and GSK sit on the vaccine advisory board of WHO. Two WHO memos from 1972 prove that WHO has been working on turning vaccines into killers using injections first to weaken the immunse system, then to load it with a live virus, and then to cause inflammation and a cytokine storm.

I note that German troops are to be used in the “martial law” exercise by the FEMA and Homeland Security, controlled by WHO interests, which is to be carried out on American soil on July 27th, and which looks very much like a take over of the USA.

I can assure all Americans, no German soldier who knows what is really going on will be ready to participate in this planned take over and genocide in FEMA camps of a freedom-loving people and a free county based on the rule of law according to the US Constitution and no German, Austrian or Irish soldier who knows what is going on will be ready to be misused by WHO, the Rockefellers and Rothschilds to provide the military cover for FEMA to commit genocide while their own people are being given the same toxic injections in autumn.

Ring up your army bases, also in Germany. Give them the information.

Marine Drew Malone Raines is preparing a 7-page summary of the evidence that this mass forced vaccination is a covert WHO bioweapons operation against the people of the US and the world.

Download it and talk to your military. They need to know too what is going on and to have the full infomation to be able to make the right choices.

    UPDATE

What is WHO plan from July 27th?

The people of the US are armed and therefore must be overcome by stealth.

It is alleged any WHO plan to take over the USA involves deception and divide-and-rule tactics.

For WHO to succeed, they must get the people of the US to start firing on the foreign UN soldiers and so spark a conflagration. This will allow FEMA and Homeland, operating independently under WHO, to start a programme of genocide, rounding up people and taking them to camps.

The foreign UN soldiers will be conducting a military exercise and so not under orders to fire on civilians. Remember most of them will not know what is going on and will follow orders.

However, they will fire back if shot at.

Therefore, false flag operations with WHO agents dressed as UN soldiers and civilians will aim to spark a war between the foreign UN soldiers and the civilians.

In the meantime, Homeland and FEMA will start to round up people and transport them in ralway wagons to camps.

Communications with other branches of the US government and law enforcement will be cut, creating confusion.

In this confusion, with various groups fighting each other, the plan of genocide will proceed.

    What has to be done?

The people of the US, the police and military must stand together and must target FEMA, Homeland Security and the WHO “Pandemic Control” center from which the operation will be conducted as well as the units operating on the ground.

The military exercises of the foreign UN troops must be circumvented wherever possible to avoid being drawn into fights. The mobility of the UN troops has to be prepared to be restricted by getting ready to destroy key transport infrastructure such as bridges, roads, railway lines and airports and sea bases.

Homeland Security and FEMA positions, logistics and supply routes, especially the fuel dumps, need to be reconnoitred and destroyed. Also, the electronic communications network must be jammed. Also destroy railway lines leading to FEMA camps and any other transport or other infrastructure needed by Homeland Security and FEMA to operate must be disabled.

The command positions of FEMA and Homeland Securty must be targetted and disabled.

If any elements of the UN troops turn against the US people because their leaders are working for WHO, they must be identified, their command centers must be targetted and disabled and the soldiers isolated and cut off from supplies by encirclement. Most UN soldiers will have no idea what is going on and would not participate if they did know. It is vital to inform soldiers in the US and every country so they understand they are being misused by the Rockefeller and Rothschild banking elite to destroy the USA while their own people are in danger from forced vaccines by the very same clique.

The counter attack on Homeland Security and FEMA units has to be conducted on local, county and state level in a coordinated and synchronised way.

The end objective has to be clear at all times: it is the restoration of government under the US Constitution and return of the rule of law in the USA.

According to a page on FEMA’s own website, they will be holding a “National Level Exercise” from July 27th through July 31st, 2009.
What is significant about this “exercise” is that it will be the first that is regional in scope, encompassing all of FEMA Region VI (Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexcio, Oklahoma and Texas), and, even more significant is that it will also be the first time in our history that troops from foreign countries will be involved in policing American citizens on U.S. soil. Those countries participating will be Australia, Canada, Mexico and the UK. This will be the first time since 1814 (the end of the War of 1812) that armed British troops have been on American soil menacing Americans. The last time the bastards were here, they burned our national capitol building.
The stated objectives of this exercise are, as is typical of our government in recent years, vaguely worded:
    * Intelligence/Information Sharing and Dissemination
    * Counter-Terrorism Investigation and Law Enforcement
    * Air, Border and Maritime Security
    * Critical Infrastructure Protection
    * Public and Private Sector Alert/Notification and Security Advisories
    * International Coordination
So, in other words, they will be spying on us, imposing illegal and unconstitutional “law enforcement” upon us, shutting down access to air, sea and land travel, closing down access to bridges, roads and highways, enlisting the aid of the Infraguard private sector Stazi force against us, and “coordinating” all this with assistance from other nations that have no business being involved in U.S. internal affairs.
FEMA states that this drill will be “White House directed” and “congressionally mandated.” Of course, as many of us know, that really means it’s being mandated by Bilderberg, the CFR, the Trilateral Commission and the international banking cartel that is behind all of these organizations.
Of course, all of this is being done in the name of “fighting terrorism,” and the drill will supposedly begin somewhere outside the U.S. (I’m guessing Mexico), then move into the U.S. It will involve supposed “terrorist attacks” that will then become a threat to the U.S.
On September 11, 2001, the Department of Defense was running military “drills” concurrently with the “attacks” on New York and Washington, D.C. and, as many researchers have pointed out, these drills were used to achieve two things: first, to mask the real attacks that the drills were simulating and, secondly, to send our fighter jets to locations far away from the areas being attacked, thus facilitating the attacks.
I believe this FEMA drill may be something similar. Actually, I believe it may be one of three things:
    1. The beginning of a martial law take-over, focusing on the region where they have determined they will have the most resistance first.
    2. A drill/exercise, as FEMA claims, to test the waters for a full blown nationwide martial law take-over and to acclimate the public to the next phase of conditioning: i.e., having armed foreign troops blatantly on U.S. soil, violating U.S. citizens’ rights.
    3. A drill/exercise designed to see if they can get us to revolt, in which case, they will go from drill mode to the real thing immediately.
As a life-long resident of Oklahoma, I am debating whether to go somewhere outside of FEMA Region VI for the four days of this drill, or to stay put and make sure my shotgun is locked and loaded. Given possibility number three, I’m thinking maybe a short vacation might be in order.
For Infowars.com’s take on this FEMA exercise, see their article on the subject.

Remember 1976 and the so called Swine Flu outbreak that was purported to be a coming pandemic? It only infected recruits at Ft. Dix. Why? Because I believe that the so called Swine Flu virus infected the recruits due to the vaccines they were given. Whether the government developed the Swine Flu 1976 virus and infected the recruits as a means to test the public to see if people would comply with a call to take vaccination against Swine Flu, or the recruits became infected via contaminated vaccine they were given as part of the recruit regimen, that outbreak was as phony as they come. I was one of the people duped into taking a Swine Flu shot and it made me so sick. I was sick in bed for three months after taking the vaccine.

Do not take seasonal flu vaccine if you are told that it could help prevent this brand new Swine Flu variant. It won’t do a thing to prevent this flu. What it will do is serve up new genetic material to the Swine Flu virus that I have dubbed Spanish Flu 2, the Sequel. The Spanish Flu variant will use the gene sequences in the vaccine in humans to develop more of the changes that make the virus more readily infect humans. We do not want to give this virus more human genetic material so that it will infect humans more readily person to person. This is what vaccinated individuals do for pandemic strains.

There is also a safety issue in any experimental vaccine, much like the one in 1976. Some people even feel that such a vaccine for pandemic strain might require more than one vaccination which could actually be a binary set up. The first shot might just add some genetic code that stays dormant in the body until one gets the second vaccine shot which then serves to only cause infection. It could trigger Guillain-barre syndrome, Typhus or some other condition.

An Influenza vaccine does not protect or prevent a person from contracting flu. It is purported to, maybe, prevent some complications of flu and maybe shorten duration. I am not even sure it does that. Personally, I feel the vaccine weakens our immune system and also sickens us due to contaminants in the vaccine. I feel that people can better protect themselves by washing hands often and thoroughly. People should also use protective gloves when out and about during epidemics. Don’t be afraid of “looking odd.” I would not be ashamed to use a mask and gloves. I see that the Mexicans are using them.

A big problem during a pandemic is that these simple supplies will become extremely scarce awfully quickly. Stock up now. Medical supplies. personal hygene supplies and don’t forget fido, or any other pet. Once a pandemic hits, it will be too late to stock up. Water, too.
We may lose clean water and electric power, so be prepared.

So, please, people, DON’T TAKE ANY VACCINES OFFERED. THEY COULD KILL YOU BEFORE ANY VIRUS KILLS YOU.

It has passed in the House of Reps (America was too busy thinking about Michael Jackson's death to care) and will soon be on the Senate floor. This is a 1200 page bill that no one has even read. The REEP program is especially damaging to home owners. You might have to buy a new roof before you get to sell your home. Any idea how much a new roof costs?

No one wants Obamacare. We don't even have the money to pay for this. But he doesn't care. He's like a teenager with blank checks with not enough funds in his checking account to cover it

    From the American Thinker:
"We now have had six months to observe the actions and words of President Obama in relations with foreign countries. Here's a brief recap:
    * Obama has routinely snubbed our traditional, democratic allies, from Great Britain to France to Germany, and most pointedly, Israel.
    * Obama dispatched Secretary of State Clinton to communist China very early on to reassure them that human rights considerations would not get in the way of our trade with them.
    * Obama made his American apology tour across Europe, pausing only to bow on camera before the Saudi King.
    * Obama gave his suck-up-to-Islam speech in Cairo, being sure to credit Muslims with historical achievements purely made up from whole cloth, using the Muslim-only greeting of respect, and repeating the phrase "holy Koran" at every opportunity.
    * Obama was as slow on the draw as conceivably possible to vocally condemn the brutish actions of the Iranian Mullahcracy against its citizens clamoring for freedoms and human rights. Obama continues to insist that negotiations with the Iranian regime are still on the table.
    * Obama is quick on the draw to side with the world's socialist dictators against the defense of democracy taking place now in Honduras."
