I was around when the Vietnam War was going on and I'm only 53 so it's possible another President could come from that era. I believe that a strong relationship between parent and child where the lines of communication are open and there is mutual respect is most important in raising a child to become a happy, healthy, well-adjusted adult. Parents need to be involved in their child's life and that child should feel they can come to their parents if they need help dealing with anything without losing their parents' love and respect. This goes a long way toward keeping young people from getting involved in destructive behavior. Parents should also lead by example. (more)

    +6 raves I really, really, really, can't see the purpose of doing this! What is going on in Washingto... I really, really, really, can't see the purpose of doing this! What is going on in Washington and since when does the ACLU have the power to order the Pentagon to release photos of prisoners of war! I believe this is a witch hunt financed by George Soros who hated George Bush, with Obama at the helm. With all that this country has on its plate, I simply can't fathom why Obama would want to do this. What does he hope to gain? This is only going to make things worse for our country and compromise our national security! Maybe I misunderstood our President, when he said he was for "transparency" I thought he meant when it came to HIS administration, NOT the previous one!

    Somehow I just can't see the purpose of doing this and going through all this or what it will accomplish except to keep everybody busy while something we will like even less takes place in Washington! That prospect is scary, but it's a good possibility! Maybe we should all keep a look out! I am so glad I did not vote for Obama. I think this man has lost his mind!     (more)

People knowing these warning signs and not being afraid to get involved goes a long way in protecting children from this crime. Also, I think that harsher penalties, such as making child abuse a non-bailable offense, long prison terms and penalizing judges who are soft on child abusers can also go a long way in combating child abuse. Teachers and anyone having close contact with children need to know these warning signs. Thanks for this post. It will educate a lot of people! (more)

This man has been in office 1 day and already he has managed to advocate taxpayer dollars to fund abortions abroad, close gitmo with NO plan as to what to do with dangerous terrorists and advocate a "unity" government in Gaza that could include Hamas with terrorism still widespread! Israel has a hard time finishing what it needs to do because we have a whole lot of brain dead bleeding hearts who would rather cry over the enemy then support a country that's done more to fight the war on terror then we ever have! This is not a conventional war--Israel should not be expected to follow convention rules! Terrorists sure don't! People are quick to demonize Israel saying they killed "innocent" people. How does anyone know they're "innocent"? Those are the same people we all saw on TV who danced in the streets and cheered when the twin towers fell on 9/11.. The same people who shout "death to Israel", "death to America" and "Jihad" every chance they get! And unfortunately, in their culture being a kid does NOT preclude them being a terrorist or a suicide bomber! The IDS does NOT play! They're not supposed to!! They can't afford to!! The war was well received in Israel because their population is not made up of wimpy, pc, cry babies who are more concerned with the rights of their enemy then in their own survival. If it were Israel would have been destroyed a long time ago because they would never get anything done. (sorta like it is here!)

    Israel has executed hundreds of Hamas militants over the past couple of years and has put a good dent in Hamas leadership. They have also executed members of other terrorist groups. They have confiscated millions of dollars in weapons coming through tunnels (and have sealed up those tunnels with cement--ummm this might work on our Mexican border) and into their ports. They secure their borders. They'll throw up a blockade in a minute in the interest of their national security and if they have to set up checkpoints, impose curfews to make it harder to smuggle weapons, or harder for terrorists to get around, so be it. That's what they have to do! They will do what ever is necessary to stay on top of the situation and whether the world likes it or not--this is a matter of their survival! In Israel national security HAS to come before personal liberty for the Palestinians. That's who the terrorists are! And if they don't like it--too bad!! How DARE anyone say Israel can't protect itself! Personally, they should have never given up the West Bank or the Gaza in the first place! They need to go in there and get that land back! People need to open their eyes and stop crying over the Palestinians--they sure would'nt shed no tears for us! These people will just as soon kill us as look at us! F**k them!

    I believe the reason this country hasn't been attacked since 9/11 is not George Bush--it's Israel!
