About Me
NOTE: Folks, I do not request anyone be my SodaHead. I am a very outspoken person, sometimes controversial in what I have to say. Therefore I will not put anyone in the position of having to decide, or of perhaps being uncomfortable in declining the offer. If you want to be my SodaHead I leave it up to you to request. It does not mean we see eye to eye, but hopefully have some common ground or like what each has to say. ~ Jim

Originally from Texas and still consider myself to be a Texan, I have lived in ten U.S. states presently in Western Arkansas where I spent part of my childhood. I have been divorced and single for almost twenty years and don't want to go through that again. Neither she or I were Christians at the time, and actually should have never married.

Thankfully, I am narrow minded, with very strong convictions on right and wrong. I have no patience for false doctrines not solely Bible based. Also have no desire to entertain people who criticize things they have not educated themselves about.

I love God the creator and His Son Jesus Christ as well as His Word and His ways. The King James Bible is the final authority for doctrine and manner of living. As a Christian we are called to live a holy and pleasing life to the Lord, and this I attempt to do and repent when I fail.

There are few things more rewarding than to teach the Bible and discuss it with those who are sincerely seeking truth. As for hecklers and blasphemers they are not usually pleased with me and my responses.

Otherwise I am a loving guy with a great sense of humor and a love for all things peaceful and harmonious, but never at the expense of TRUTH. The Bible and it's Truth are always first before family or friendship. My soul is at stake and so is yours.

I'd like to meet:

Jesus Christ the Son of God. Also it would be great to be able to show Benjamin Franklin what resulted from his key on a kite string.

Activities:

Daily Bible reading and prayer keeps me walking the straight and narrow path. I like to tromp around in the woods, hunt in deer season which is a new activity for me. For one reason or another I never got around to it when I was younger.

Interests:

Bible study, writing tracts. I also enjoy caring for and breeding my chickens and selling their farm fresh eggs. I currently have 72 but it fluctuates. Also have one Goose, two dogs and a cat and I love them all.

Favorite Music:

Old Gospel Hymns sung the old fashioned way by old fashioned Christians. Actually I don't listen to much music at all. I much prefer the quiet sounds of the wind chimes and the birds.

Favorite Books:

King James Bible of 1611 origin. "Foxe's Book of Martyrs" originally written and published in 1563 as "The Acts and Monuments of These Latter and Perilous Days" by John Foxe and quickly became popular as "The Book of Martyrs". It gives accounts of brave Christians murdered for their faith and the Reformation. The faith of every true Christian would be strengthened by this book. I believe it is now available online.

Favorite Quotes:

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. ~ John 14:6

"To employ soft words and honeyed phrases in discussing questions of everlasting importance; to deal with errors that strike at the foundations of all human hope as if they were harmless and venial mistakes; to bless where God disapproves, and to make apologies where He calls us to stand up like men and assert, though it may be the aptest method of securing popular applause in a sophistical age, is cruelty to man and treachery to Heaven. Those who on such subjects attach more importance to the rules of courtesy than they do to the measures of truth do not defend the citadel, but betray it into the hands of its enemies. Love for Christ, and for the souls for whom He died, will be the exact measure of our zeal in exposing the dangers by which men's souls are ensnared."
George Sayles Bishop, Sermon, June 7, 1885

"If we will be sons of the truth we must consider what it speaketh, and trample upon our own credit, yea, and upon other mens too, if either be any way an hindrance to it." King James Bible Translators 1611 A.D.

Men occasionally stumble on the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened.
--Sir Winston Churchill

  • Hi Jim~

Thank you for accepting my add request. I've decided to change my profile picture to more reflect my stance. It's time to stand strong, and maybe a fool or two will soften their hearts from time to time, and the rest will see the truth in GOD's word and our lives.

    Thanks again,

    Will

  • Thanks Jim. He made it home at 6:30 Tuesday night and smiled until he fell asleep in his recliner, and then smiled every time he woke up just a little. We had a lovely day with our kids, his mom, and later our nephews and their families. It's a wonderful time to be thankful.
