I am a conservative first and foremost. I believe that I live in the greatest country on earth. I believe in personal responsibility. I believe that family should take care of family. I believe that I am lucky that young men and women are willing to sacrifice their lives so that we can remain free. I believe that liberals just hit the easy button. There is nothing hard about being a liberal, it is gutless. I believe in God. I believe that bad things do happen to good people and we have no control over these things and we cannot assign blame to anyone else for it. I believe in working hard so I can play hard. I believe in supporting my government but I don't believe it is here to take care of me. I believe that we can learn from history and the history of our ancestors. I believe in love. I believe that if you marry the right person you don't have to work to make it work. I believe that my job as a parent and grandparent is to be a good role model and to support all their endeavors. I believe that socialism and political correctness will destroy our great nation.

My father, who was born in 1903, he had children at home for 50 years. He was everything imaginable. He was a child factory worker, a hobo, a coal miner, a rancher, and a businessman. He believed that there was good in everyone, even when they proved him wrong. He picked up hitchhikers and the homeless and brought them home for a meal. He donated money to anyone and everything. He believed that God would find a way for him to have money to help others. He believed in helping but only if they would help themselves. He got burned many times but never stopped believing. He was an eternal optimist. Even though he lived a very tough life when he was young he only had fond memories of everything. I wish I could be more like him because he only believed in finding solutions without the wasted emotion of worry. He loved politics, religion, and the never ending debate. I wish he would have been younger when I was born (53) so I could have enjoyed him longer.
