  • Well congrats to them! :) Ya, born and raised here myself. I've watched the city grow from just over 100,000 when I was a teenager to a little over 300,000 now... but I spent YEARS in retail store management - so it is possible I've at least run across them lol - at some point I suppose. :)

    +6 raves ok I was at Rough River with my dad, his girlfriend and I think my sister was there. He was teac... ok I was at Rough River with my dad, his girlfriend and I think my sister was there. He was teaching me how to water ski. So we started slow and he takes me round and round in a circle. He decided that he needed to move the boat other wise I would have a drop off. So he took me out in the busier traffic. Not a good thing for me. I was going crazy. The only thing I need to remember was keep my skis together and just stay on top of the water. We go around this blind curves...houseboats and speed boats are on both sides of me....now I'm really frantic. Then to my amazement my skis are starting to spread apart. I can't get them back together. All these boats are around me and the more boats there are the worse I get. My skis keep spreading further and further apart. I'm thinking what do I do now...I don't know how in the world this happened...only God knows. I am completely submerged under the water....skis still spread apart..I was doing the splits...somehow I got them together again and placed them in front of me and I stretched that rope and suddenly I came back out of the water onto my feet and was skiing again. My father was amazed at me as well...He used to tell this story to everyone and called it The Rough River Douche.... (more)
