Crime is a VERY serious matter. Killing people is VERY wrong. Thousands of people die each year because of other people murdering them without a reason. Some times because the mafia is after you, suicide and not wanting to live or just plain stupidity. Crimes against humanity have occurred in many countries across the world, including Rwanda.
All throughout Rwanda, genocide was occurring and people didn’t do anything to stop what was happening. The Hutu brutally murdered the Tutsis leaving bodies in streets, homes, yards, and even rivers to the point where no one could get through the city. The Hutu didn’t care who they killed as long as it was all the Tutsis people. They made the Tutsis carry around pass books so they could tell who was who and which to keep separate from the others. They brutally killed and murdered thousands of people leaving bodies everywhere.
Beginning on April 6th, 1994, for the next 100 days thousands of Tutsis people were killed by clubs, machetes and guns, about 10,000 died each day without a reason. In 1990, a rebel army invaded Rwanda and forced Juvenal Habyalimana out of power and to sign an accord that mandated that the Hutus and Tutsis would have equal power. As stated my Elie Wiesel, “Convinced that this period in history would be judged one day, I knew that I must bear witness. I also knew that, while I had many things to say, I did not have the words to say them.” When the genocide started no one would believe it and they didn’t do anything to try and stop it, so the killing just went on and on
