About Me
I'm a pretty simple girl, currently living in Thailand with my Japanese husband. I've lived in Japan with him also, and we are still pretty new to Thailand. It's been very interesting experiencing these new places and cultures. I love being with my husband, and talking to my family as much as possible. We are expecting our first baby, a boy, in January. He will be born here in Thailand. We're really excited about it & can't wait to meet him!
This is the same as interests really. taking pictures, learning Japanese, trying new food, listening to music, reading, writing, exercising...
taking pictures, music, movies, languages and cultures, shopping, working out, my family and friends, my boyfriend, big sunglasses, flip flops, learning Japanese, football, Spring, new foods, Mexican food, reading, writing, and many other things that I can't think of right now.
Soo much. I like a lot of older music, i.e., Chuck Berry, Bob Dylan, The Drifters, The Doors. Edith Piaf is amazing! I also like Beck, Meiko Kaji, Nakashima Mika, Kokia, Hirahara Ayaka, Mr. Children, Madeleine Peyroux, Roberta Flack, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Regina Spektor, Nancy Sinatra, and many more.
Sasuke is the best show ever! :P ...I also like The Simpsons, The Daily Show, South Park ...that's all I can think of. I really don't watch too much TV.

+4 raves I really love English because we don't force everything to be so logical. I notice this a lot... I really love English because we don't force everything to be so logical. I notice this a lot in poetry & music. One of my favorite bands is Neutral Milk Hotel, and they have some strange lines. For example, "all secrets sleep in winter clothes", "Hear her voice as it's rolling & ringing through me", "How the notes all bend and reach above the trees". Secrets can't really sleep in winter clothes & notes can't reach above trees, but it stills means something in English, and it makes sense to us. However, in Japanese & many languages, there is no good translation, because it's not logical to them. I remember my sister told me, that in her Spanish class, they translated Elvis songs to Spanish. But, the teacher said that the line "I'm itchin' like a bear in a fuzzy tree" had to be completely replaced, because there is no way to say such a thing in Spanish. It's just interesting to me, that in English, we can manipulate words & throw them together, and we still understand what it means. I just have a deeper appreciation for English now that I can't speak with native speakers much anymore. xD (more)

The sentence structure is crazy. For example, if I say "How is the weather in Japan today?" In Japanese, I would say, "Nihon no kyou no tenki wa dou desuka" ...which is structured like, Japan today weather, how is it? ...*slaps myself* ..sooo hard.
But, I'm learning for my boyfriend. He's Japanese and he moved back to Japan. I miss him tons, and I will be moving there in January ...so I have no choice but to learn it. ;) (more)

a) We learn English at school. I did it for ten years - even for some jerk like me this should be enough time to learn a language. =P

Your husband doesn't have to be jealous - as a compensation i'm sure his Japanese is better than mine. *lol*
