Reality does bite, and it hurts. haha. I do hope that I'm on the right track, but only time will tell. I always try my hardest and I hope that it brings me places far. I just need to stay on track and keep focused and have nice people like you to talk to. :-)

I hear ya. Reality bites. You'll be glad for it all when you look back in 10 years. You'll have finished school and have a good job. You'll be able to afford to put gas in your car and pay your mortgage... and probably have a little something left over. Sounds to me like you're on the right track. It sucks now... but it'll really pay off in the future.

Yea Senior year. How lucky can I be. But honestly I love books. Like I could read 100 books a year if I had the time, but I do read a lot of books a year. Its just when they force so many books on me at one time me going on vacation, and working its hard. I do keep up during the summer, but when people force things on me, its hard for me to get into it. (Especially with AP Italian and them expecting you to be fluent in another language)

Those are all great books.

You must be going into your senior year, right? You'll get to play lots next summer. Doing well in your AP classes will take you really far. Sorry... mom moment. My kids complain that I make them do school work in the summer. I think it's important to keep their brains active. It's true what they say... if you don't use it, you lose it.

I know what you mean about wanting to enjoy the summer, though. I really hate getting up every sunshiny morning to go to work. I'd really much rather be lying out at the river with my girlfriends.

I really don't like when the schools give summer homework because I get less homework during the school year and I do have a life and a family so I'd like to spend time with them. Isn't that what summer vacation is for? Or did I miss something along the way?

Absolutely nothing. Trying to do my summer reading for AP english that starts in September. I got 4 books, and they think that I have no summer.
