This man makes sense ... too bad the Democrat opponents aren't listening to sensible arguments, because they're not trying to actually reform health care or do anything sensible.

They are narrow-mindedly committed to passing this health care takeover for partisan political reasons ... nothing more. They are obsessed, and they will not be denied.

Nationalized health care is the Progressive (i.e. socialist) "Holy Grail" of causes, because it will entrench the Democrat party in firm control of the Federal government forever and ever.

This is a massive power grab, an attempt to put a government foot in the door to control the entire health care industry. And once they control health care -- that is, once they control matters of life and death for you and your loved-ones -- they will have total power over you. Total control: politically, economically, behaviorally, medically. Everything.

If you like doughnuts or hamburgers and you're a little bit fat, guess what? No hamburgers for you. Now that your health is a national issue rather than a personal and private issue, you can't be allowed to eat things that make you fat and increase your burden on the health care system.

So you'll be fined and taxed and denied services. We can't have you dragging the system down.

I had a submission for my own state. It's not actually a state welcome sign, but where else but Arizona would you see a sign like this?

We've got to stop this. Someone needs to stand up to this globalist agenda, and pretty damn quick. If our elected officials are going to play along with this, then perhaps it's time to get ready with the tar & feathers.

I thought the Dems had managed to effectively make this whole thing quietly "go away."

    It appears not.

I would love to see this countrywide scandal blown wide open in advance of the 2010 elections.

Obama is yet another dubious peace prize winner in a long list of controversial honorees. Personally, I stopped taking the Nobel Peace Prize seriously when these guys won it:

A liar: controversial honorees personally stopped nobel peace prize guys won liar

A crook: honorees personally stopped nobel peace prize guys won liar crook

A Soviet dictator: stopped nobel peace prize guys won liar crook soviet dictator

A terrorist: nobel peace prize guys won liar crook soviet dictator terrorist

An idiot: peace prize guys won liar crook soviet dictator terrorist idiot

And it is yet another undeserved honor heaped upon Obama before he's even done anything yet.

It's ridiculous that people actually get their panties in a bunch over something this trivial; but then again, I've been called a racist and the dreaded "hater" simply for daring to criticize the President on a point of policy, so I'm not surprised. There's nothing wrong with calling the President simply "Obama."

Not only is it a non-issue in light of our bigger problems, but some people might have legitimate issues with the President and choose to address him with a derogatory name. It's an age-old practice in American politics.

Do I condone calling him names like "Obummer" or "Odumbo"? No, not at all. I don't think it adds anything to the conversation or debate, and I believe it absolutely just turns people off when they see it. For my own part, I try to make a point of referring to him as "the President" or simply "Obama."

But it's our right as American citizens to call any President whatever we want. It's just not a very useful rhetorical device.
