About Me

I am a wife of 28 years to the same man, a mother of 4 kids, and 6 grandchildren. I am a born again believer in Jesus Christ. I have a Bachelors Degree in English/History with a minor in Spanish and teacher certification in Seconday Ed.

John Wayne, Elvis Presley, Princess Diana of Wales, Marilyn Monroe, Cleopatra, Abe Lincoln, Jackie Kennedy, Billy Graham, Moses, Sarah and Abraham, and many others.

Not too many now. I still swim and work with my flowers. But, I used to play, coach, and umpire girl's softball, sing in church, teach in a high school and Jr. High school, I coached Varsity Cheerleading and volleyball, Jr. High basketball, track and tennis.

I love to sing and swm. I loved teaching and coaching. And I love spending time with my grandchildren most of all. I love going to Colorado and to the beaches in Hawaii. I am a voracious reader. And I dearly love my family. And my most important interest is in my relationship with Jesus.

Oldies--- 70's, 50's, 60's. Big Band Era and Country from the 60's to the 70's

  • I didn't know about it at all.

Any idea what the test costs?

I suspect that my daughter does not have this. While her asthma was severe when she was young, she appears to have gone into complete remission, which, as I'm sure you know, is not uncommon with juvenile asthma. Nonetheless, it's always a concern and I'm always ready to learn more so that we are as prepared as possible for any eventuality.

I assume that you're not on a transplant list yet, and that the most severe symptoms are in the lungs (rather than the liver)?

  • I'm interested.

First, I have a daughter who had severe asthma growing up. Even went into cardiac arrest one time. She would be dead had it not happened in the hospital. They were ready to discharge her after an asthma attack and my ex did not think that she was ready to be discharged. She was right.

Secondly, we're all humans trying to get by on earth and we can all use all of the support that we can get. So I'm interested on a human level, too.

I assume that, being emphysema, it's progressive? Will a lung transplant work in your case?
