Big industry asking their employees to lobby for them is nothing new. It's what all companies do when their bottom line has a perceived loss due to legislation. Unions do the same thing. I don't think it's that a big a deal, as long as employees are not coerced into writing and as long as they are free to write their actual opinions, even if they counter the opinions of their business.
That being said, those of us who are in favor of health reform and a public option, need to continue letting our elected officials know how we feel about. We must not be complacent, we must not take victory for granted. Just because you have called or written your representatives once, does not mean your work is done! Write daily, if necessary to help pass this bill! (more) -
