Human cloning is Inevitable it will happen it is just too tempting - but what will history say about how we treat clones will they be the new group to hate - to enslave - to use for our own purposes. If we are allowed to run amuck as Hitler was until someone said stop - no more - will there be a 6 million magic number when we start to protect them that we will create ? Whoa to us should we decide to play God with no thought to what will happen. To use a Star Trek episode in which they addressed clones - they were used as slaves used for body parts - diassembled - until the clones revolted and a criteria was put in placed that recognized Sentient Beings mainly as those who were self aware. Much has been said that we would allow the body to develp but not the full brain - what does that say about us to create life and then destroy it so casually? have we come very far from the barbarian? Even they had rules a code to live by. We will be as in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah they lived in a way that held no boundries and self destructed because of it. A child who lives without rules and consequences is a child lost there is a sense of comfort in the rules for them as there is for all humans. The technology is changing so fast that government and laws cannot keep up with it to set no limits for this research to have no checks and balances is to set a course for self destruction.
