About Me
Youngest of seven, five brothers. Left Ohio in 1976, followed by 7 years in the USN. Served on three ships, the last being the USS Briscoe, DD-977 (She later served as the ship that scattered JFK jr. ashes) Worked in Virginia for a couple of years, then as an Ex.Pat in the Kingdom of S.A. for several years. Corresponded with dozens of people, and travelled to visit some as well as looking up kin folk in the U.K. , ROI and on the continent. In my travels, met and eventually married my better half. We began raising a family out west.
I have fixed things, all my life, as a "yout" had taken things apart and put them back together. And sometimes I didn't even have any left over parts! Or have rebuilt what was thought lost or broken.
I do that for a living as well as an avocation. I solve puzzles, what is wrong and how do we fix it? (A very guy type of thing)
Industrial and commercial equipment and appliances, which lends itself to logic and reason. But still have seen things that could only be explained by PFM!
We had three children, we have raised two as adults and one still in the nest.
Too many people are raising children, I worked on raising adults.
Only time will tell if we achieved it.

anything but gangsta rap, and a fair amount of hip hop. Rhyming to others rifs seems less than a talent. And what I have heard does not do much for me.
All others from blue grass to Motown I find appealing, classical orchestra, instrumentals are best for inspiration, and relaxation.

Then next year as the inflation starts in due to the extra trillions of printed money is circulating, more supply less value. The hidden tax, that is inflation. So if the dems win the election or retain control of both houses after 2010, expect massive tax increases to pay for "all we asked for". Of course the Government will want us to use the companies they own so they will act in an unfair manner to the competition of those companies. As they have done to the bond holders. Legally first in line, pushed to the back by BHO and corrupt Unions that have a big hand in the collapse of Auto industry.

I have been hit by my Mother, my Wife and a Daughter. In none of those instances was a return blow required. As defense of life or safety of others are the requirements for me.
I did elbow a girl in grade school. She wanted to join in 'clobber the guy with the ball' (Known by a previous name now not PC) and she was biting my arm at the time. I got three wacks after lunch.
Another time, Mother decided I needed a slap, (for something, I didn't think so) after the first one I began blocking them, (wax on wax off style) she just kept at it until she was tired. I should have let he slap me a couple more times as I heard about how I hurt her hands for 6 months.
My Wife once struck me on the shoulder and ripped my shirt. While it was a favorite shirt, I just held her by the shoulders until the argument returned to a more reasonable level. Tho the volume was still high.
My Daughter was in her teens and being belligerent, I had just grounded her for two days, increased to a week in response to her next comment. She then proceeded to pound on my chest with both fists. I leaned into it and laughed softly. When she stopped I asked if she was shooting for a month? She walked away and didn't speak to me for 4 days.
So peaceful it was. I read on her my space later that she was glad I grounded her.
I am not special, its rule to live by.

Free speech, debate, the market place of ideas.
Once in they set about taking over. Limiting opposite views whenever possible. They create the high school and grade school teachers. They promote their own views not reason or thought.
Howard Zinn is proclaimed a great historian by the left. If American history were a human body, and history professors were doctors. Then Howard Zinn is a proctologist and not a very good one.
I heard him interviewed and debated by Dennis Prager, where Zinn admitted, he thought the world would have been better off if the U.S. of A. "had never come into being.".
His history books are the most popular in every history course in the university system. Not by students but by teachers.
Until these no accounts are removed there is no hope. END TENURE for any subjective discipline. And if it is granted the person must demonstrate that they are good at it by making a living in the free market for 5 to 10 years. If he or she can earn a living at it then they must be good. But in reality it is the rule, those that can't do, teach. Collages are used to funnel income to ne'r do wells. that need money while they promote the destruction of good things and people. Look at all the paid lecturers that speak without any thing remotely in their history that qualifies them. Other than being big on the left.
Tenure is so often granted to unqualified people just because the hate the U.S. of A. in the appropriate manner. Look to Ward Churchill.
