Married 21 years - to the same woman who stays with me even though my hair is turning grey. Proud father of Eric the Bold and Sera the Wondergirl. 1 house, numerous wood working tools, too many books.

Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Thomas Edison, Nikolai Tesla, Lance Armstrong, Chuck Norris, and the nun who told me I'd never amount to anything when I was 12.

Martial arts, Jujitsu & kendo and various arts that were made obsolete by gunpowder. Carpentry and cabinet making, cycling, 3 annual sprint distance triathlons, and whatever my kids think is important right now.

Engineering, Ancient history and technology, metallurgy, languages (Spanish & German), travel, architecture

Anything BUT Italian Opera, Barbra Streisand, and Swiss Yodeling

Leverage, Supernatural, Moonlight, Dirty Jobs, Mythbusters, Fringe, Spongebob, and my daughter has me watching "Bones" now.

Everything from classics like Casablanca or Citizen Kane to modern adventures like Equilibrium, Indiana Jones flicks or Star Wars. One of the all time best is "Dodgeball", which stars Lance Armstrong AND Chuck Norris in the same film!

The Lord of the Rings, The Razors Edge, Lord of Light, The Name of the Wind, The DaVinci Code (even though it's BS), Edgeworks Vol. 3, A Quiet of Stone, The Man Who Never Missed, War and Peace, On The Road

Miracles can happen, but sometimes you have to force the issue.

Life is uncertain, eat dessert first.

Superman or Chuck Norris - they are interchangeable.

  • No worries, I didn't take it as an insult!

    I'm glad to still have hair, even if it is grey, and my kids got severely mad at me the last time I shaved off my beard.

    If you look closely at the picture of my dad, my son and me - we all have pale blue eyes. My wife and my daughter are my brown eyed girls! I'll get apicture of them up soon.

    The Nobel prize awarded to Obama had nothing to do with Obama. To anyone who has travelled internationally in the years 2000-2008, the image of America was that of George W. Bush, and it was alarming how negative that image was. I'm not just speaking of Europe, but China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Mexico, the Domincan Republic, Puerto Rico. In all these places I visited GWB was as popular as the Swine Flu is now.

    I believe that the Nobel committee gave Obama the award as a last insult to Bush. Whether you feel the insult is deserved or not, the president of the United States should not participate in an insult by a foreign power to his predecesor on the job.

    Those of you who know me by my discussions know that I support Obama. But first and foremost I support my country. Newt Gingrich proposes an honorable way of accepting. I disagree in that any acceptance is participating in an insult to a previous president.     (more)
