They are racing toward their own self-fulfilled prophecy with their threats about "watering the tree of liberty with the blood of patriots" and "waking the sleeping giant" - - - but I think they may be very surprised to find the "giant" that has awoken are peace-loving, fairminded, sick-of-the-lies, hardworking middle-class Democrats who have been pushed to action by the Rights heinous and ignorant behavior. And I HOPE they are shocked and dismayed to see the "blood shed" is their own. (of course, they'll enjoy screaming about being "persecuted christians" - just another prophecy they are steadfastly bringing upon themselves)
Do you think they are stupid enough to think none of us Democrats own guns too? Do they think after all these years of their snide superiority, that by RAMPING it UP they are going to win over our hearts??
Do you suppose they are foolish enough to believe they could just overwhealm us without a fight??

+5 raves I can't seem to get my mind around how people can allow themselves to be sooo manipulated by moni... I can't seem to get my mind around how people can allow themselves to be sooo manipulated by monied insurance, and pharm. interests.... maybe it's people who are so self-defined as republicans they are willing to do anything at all just to be anti-democratic. I guess it's both, plus some that have just gotten caught up in the fury.
I find it so increadibly hypocritical, though - that so many are justifying obstructionist and downright bad behavior with proclamations of their astounding patriotism and/or christianity! It's like the world has lost it's mind!
I'm starting to think they actually WANT to bring about the very things they scream so loudly against - just so they can say "see, we KNEW this would happen!"
for instance: I've heard/read so many "conservatives" for months now claiming that this administration wants to take away our constitutional right to freedom of speech..... then they are purposefully quashing OTHERS rights to ask questions and try to find answers about this healthcare reform bill at these town hall meetings by being loud, rude, antagonistic, and obstructionist..... eventually it will reach a point where American Citizens who just want to try to educate themselves about this bill will need to be protected from these "protestors"........ "aha!! SEE!?!?!? just like "we" said, they are denying us our right to freedom of speech!!"
It's so rotten! They are doing all they can to hurt America while simultaneously proclaiming anyone NOT on their side is being unpatriotic!
