    People: who others love and want to spend their lives with is no one's business but their own. That is the full and total end of the story.
    If you are married and object then you are a hypocrit because you have that person. If you aren't married then you are an arrogant ass because you don't know what you are trying to ban.

    +12 raves I wish it were that simple. I recently started a new job working with Job Corps and I have a hug... I wish it were that simple. I recently started a new job working with Job Corps and I have a huge issue with stopping racism in all its vile forms.

    No one is asking for 'white guilt' but to deny history is to repeat it. If we can't learn from the mistakes of the past we will keep repeating them. The blatant racism of the 2008 Presidential Campaign was a shocker. I thought we, as a country, had moved beyond that stupidity. I can see that it is not true and people have posted, on SH, racial comments which are extremely unacceptable no matter how blatant or disguised.

    Racism is everyone's problem not just a few. We, as a society, need to defeat it.     (more)

    I taught my daughters how to be responsible for their own actions before they ever went to kindergarten, what is taking you so long to remember these age old lessons? I am sick of finger pointing, blame assigning and the whining.
    I am 40 and I well recall the republican backing of the last major socialist act from a republican president acting in accordance with a republican congress. That was Bush The First and his bailout of the Savings and Loan.
    Mr. McCain ought to remember this one very well since he was involved in it as a key player.

    Here is the deal:
    Kwitcherbitchin and get to work solving problems not pointing fingers. I really wish you would remember that when you point one finger at someone else there are three more pointing back at you. (opposable thumbs do not count).     (more)

    I hate to cast doubt on a learned archeologist but ahhmm.. (Chicks have down not feathers! Feathers don't develop until a hatched chick is between several days to several weeks old dependent on the species.     (more)

Obviously not everybody can be rich but think for just a moment about some recent reports.. we spend 10 billion dollars a month in Iraq. What if we spent that money treating poverty properly instead? How about instead of buying more guns and ammo we bought and distributed food? How about instead of training people to kill or die we trained them to a trade and taught them how to be self-sufficient?
    Instead of boot camp classes we paid our teachers better, ensured every child had access to up to date materials and computers to learn on?

    Poverty is a curable disease we just have to have a government willing to participate in that cure.     (more)
