People use the Bible when it is convenient for them. They pick and choose what they abide by, i.e. The bible does say that a man that lays with another man is an abomination in Leviticus. There are other things that people seem to forget about Leviticus. The book is a holiness code full of outdated laws. It prohibits round haircuts, tattoos, working on the Sabbath, wearing garments of mixed fabrics, eating pork or shellfish, and playing with the skin of a pig. Well, there goes football. How many of those laws have you broken?
Deuteronomy says that if it is discovered that a bride is not a virgin she should executed by stoning immediately. The book of Mark says that divorce is strictly forbidden as is remarriage of anyone that has been divorced. Well I guess I will be seeing Elizabeth Taylor in Hell.
