I am always made happy and wonder no end at the ingenuity and boundless freshness I get when hearing of the sacredness of the Land which our brothers and sisters found and invested and which sustains so many even to this very day. Our humanity is shared like the waters of many streams which join at the riverbend, each singing of its journey. Thank you. y2k! (more)

Unlike the "white coats" associated with Pharma or product "reasearch" this is how penicillin was found. Yes, as real science it is complex and requires a degree of luck and "right place/right time",but look at the results! They are cracking mysteries and bringing us into our own. To me, that is a spiritual undertaking of trans-human quality. Onward to "Human +"! (more)

+3 raves i'm gonna take a long step here-I'm just a father whose wife breastfed our second child. ... i'm gonna take a long step here-I'm just a father whose wife breastfed our second child. I think that in the recent past human bands, troops, tribes which, though they noted maternity (and paternity, when possible, not as important) really the human child "belonged" to the group and that any lactating female could suckle young of the tribe. Many primates and esp ones still using large grouping like baboons, have this quality. But I believe that as Genus Homo evolved the adage "it takes a village to raise a child" was a very real and practical matter. As paternity became understood, becasue as wealth accumulated and "favorite" food areas lent itself to the domestication of grain men became political and the "headman" concept ,to provide security from other men, flowered- warfare came with the domestication of horses and appearance and development of "sky religion"- men "seized" cultural control of what political interests existed and then demanded and got right of legacy through lineage for "my son".Since that moment early in our cultural history precedence of the nuclear family has followed. That leads to this question and answers it. No other may suckle my child becasue it is "mine". In earlier times, though, it took a village to call a child anything and a human life was always "ours" and never "mine". (more) -

WOW! You make me feel honored. I was brought up in a situation that was emotional hell! I was seldom physically abused, but the mind is a terrible place to destroy our World. Since I was in an orphange for 4 years and I learned much over my 60+ years now, often amazed I am still alive. No, there was not that much pathology of extremes- Not much hitting, no rape, drugs, and assorted other mayhem. Why do I tell YOU this stuff? Because I sense, feel, perceive the same qualities in you. Trust this ain't no flirt or hussle! My biggest "hustle" is getting my work out there to give up the Gifts! I read your profile before I found this little lovely note. I came from a home of the walking wounded. I guess the Earth does house us all!
Don't for a second offer pity, because I am way beyond (one hopes) that. It has been one powerful journey. If I had ever focused like I am trying to do, I/we could be anywhere and anyone with all of our great gifts actualized to the max. But alas I, like so many, really could not see or make the actions to do it. I have much hope that I still will. We all have our stronger gifts freely from spirit. Some we work to perfect as this is our destiny-to create paradise on Earth. We are not waiting for eternity. We are living eternity. Maybe I'll blog this! I sense that you know these truths. So here is one of my shorter pieces. Much of my work is adaptable to poetry, lyrics, political commentary, comedy, and who knows?

RETURNING BLOW FOR BLOW
MIGHT WE TRANSFORM HATRED?
BROKEN HEARTS LEARNING TO FEEL
USING LOVE TO CHANGE OUR MIND
CLAIMING OUR VISION

WHERE WE WILL HEAR
TO HEAL OUR SOUL
I keep trying daily to live up to this I have learned. Hope you are happy. Jane

It's hard for me to remember how the idea of relating artificial scarcity of resources through enclosure and its relationship to centralized power first came to me. I can vaguely recall that it was born out of considering the nature of artificially regulated value in the diamond industry and markets in general and I suppose sooner or latter I extended the idea of value to social value, via my thoughts on diversity based equality and the emergence of social influence from conditions which may lend greater value to those attributes among a diverse people which translates into superior social and political authority...though not necessarily power. Also the subject of "natural" vs. "artificial" identity of interests factored in among doubtless others. I suppose it was the result of a variety of lines of thinking merging over time. I am happy that you find some of my work worth considering, its been a lot of work over a long time with little formal education (while becoming part of a worker owned bakery and a father) so it is very reassuring to think that I may not have been totally wasting my energy:)

(imao) The enclosure of the commons creates artificial scarcity and correspondingly illegitimate authority though enforced privatization which thus undermines the function of inclusive fitness which compels the formation of herds and flocks in animal societies, or communities and societies in human life. I believe this has become the greatest threat to our survival. The extent to which collectivism (and planning avoiding the “tragedy of the commons”) can be completely universal among humans is hard to say, though we do have certain qualities which may permit us to better approach this that other animals do. Our capacity for abstract thought allows us to go beyond mere instinct and willfully commit ourselves to mutual aid but so long as our experience and subsequent awareness of the world is suggestive of mutual struggle, moralism will not suffice to motivate us in this direction.
