As BillHill said, Christ knew before hand that we would come when He calls as no one can resist God.
Christ's love is that He gives us the capacity to make that choice through the Holy Spirit.
Many pastors state the power is in you to make that choice, hence huge congregations.

2. "Disrespecting parents", The Law was a perfect standard that couldn't be followed. Specifically the Laws that were punishable by death by anyone who breaks them.
Examples of God's standard:
A) A perfect person would never disrespect their parents or anyone.
B) A perfect person would obey all of God's Laws.
C)There is no such person.
One must understand the message of the law before understanding God's gospel of grace.
God is the holy standard.
Man is the filthy rags standard.
That's a beginning of wisdom.
In regards to a child molester; Jesus foretold a very harsh penalty in hell. How can that person be forgiven? Based on His (Jesus) word, it is a very rare happening that a child molester truly repents to God.
And once a true Christian, one would never do such an act for the Holy Spirit doesn't cosign for such evils.

God is absolute.
No man can prove to another man that God exists. But God could. And has.
The intelligence of God is beyond man's. His truth is objective.
Jesus said, "You will know the truth" from the Holy Spirit.
If one receives this Truth, one will have knowledge of God beyond man's grasp of "what is what".
Without that Truth, man is rudderless as relativism.
A true Christian knows that His knowledge is truth, His wrath and His love is the most precious gift one can receive that is not earned by any merit, but given by the way He said it would come to be.
Man's condition:
..."The world walks in the futility of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of heart; and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality, for practice of every kind of impurity with greediness."
God compares us to children as we behave as such, thinking we know better. :) (more) -
