Moral issue because big insurance companies are trying desparately to hold onto the status quo so they keep their profits at the expense of other Americans. These companies already have "death panels" in place. They decide if they're going to pay for services which could mean life or death for others based on a bottom line not the health needs of an actual person.

    Economic issue because of the greed of the insurance companies. Their costs have gone up well beyond what is necessary.

    What happened to the days when we paid the doctor directly and no insurance companies were involved? The costs were far lower and the care was more personalized. Why can't we return to that and remove insurance from our health care entirely? Insurance companies are the ones who've screwed it up.     (more)
