About Me
I am a Moderate Libertarian -- Socially liberal but fiscally conservative. I believe that government should be democratically representative and minimalistic, while abstaining from dictating the rights of the individuals. Government should serve as a law-making body and nothing more. I believe that the rights of the individual are the most important of all things in society, for without rights, the people have no basis for power in a democracy that is supposed to represent them.
My Stances:
- Balancing the budget: Yes
- Policing the World: No
- Government Transparency: Yes
- Government Accountability: Yes
- Low Taxes: Yes
- Abortion: Yes
- *Preemptive "Precautionary" war: Never
- *Capitalism: Yes
- Corporatism: No
- Constitutional Rights: Yes, always
- Global Warming: Yes, and it's provable
- Government spending: Minimal but not at the expense of necessary services
- *Racism: No, unacceptable
- Prejudice: *See Racism
- Neo-Conservatism: No, I prefer logic over fantasy.
- Trade: Free, unrestricted trade; See Capitalism
- Jobs: The best way to create jobs is to create competition
- Economy: Strong agricultural and production sectors are essential to any prosperous nation. For example, the auto industry in the 1950s was the backbone of the American economic boom of that time.
- Education: Competing public and private sectors with a well-funded and cost-effective publicly funded system. Without education there is no hope for the nation.
- Foreign Policy: Live and let live, non-interventionist policy; *See Preemptive War
- Gun Rights: Every person should have the right to possess arms without unreasonable restriction, as guaranteed in the Constitution of the United States
