  • Okay! That was fun! :) It lasted about 5 hours, everything went pretty well ~ well, until the ride home my son (he's 17) told my daughter that she didn't spar well..... luckily though, she only cried for about 3 minutes and was back to doing good again... sheeeeeesh he picked the wrong time to talk to her about that! I was mad! But then we got to talking about what she wants for her "reward" or whatever you want to call it.... (After they get their black belt they can get one thing- anything as long as it's within reason).
    Aaaaaaanyway- she's seriously considering getting another dog. I hope she decides on that because that's what I would like too! LOL

    My daughter's testing for her black belt in TKD~ and we have to leave early in the a.m. :)

  • I know! Can you believe winter's here already!? It was raining all day here as well, but I don't mind- I think it's probably going to rain most of the day again, too.... supposed to get nicer weather here soon though.
    Christmas in September....nothing wrong with that ;) Is Christmas his favorite season? It's mine. Even though it's smack-dab in the middle of everything and hectic as heck! (We have birthdays all around it). And it all begins at Halloween! :P

    Did your family get the flu/H1N1 vaccine? I couldn't decide for my family (everyone but me has asthma, so it was a hard decision), but now they're out of the vaccine here, so I don't have to think about it anymore.....lol Easy way to make decisions huh?
    It's such a hard decision- which is worse, the vaccine or the flu? You hear so much stuff.... just don't know who to believe since there's no way of actually knowing, that I know of, ya know?

There were always people outside the family planning clinic with VERY graphic signs showing aborted babies all bloody and dismembered. And I gotta tell you - it really wasnt until then that I realized how awful I felt about the act of abortion. Until then, I didn't agree with it, but because I never put a face to the actual death of the baby, I wasn't nearly as impacted by it.

    Yes, these pictures are VERY graphic, but I think everyone should see something like this before they can actually say they have made an INFORMED decision regarding their stance on abortion.

    Because of the fact there was another murder commited by the suspect shortly before the murder of Mr. Pouillon, (the suspect shot both) I can't really say if this was a political/issue driven murder.     (more)

I came across this information - as well as the outline for teachers for classroom discussion, yesterday. I am a member of the school board at my children's school. I e-mailed the superintendent regarding my concern for this matter. I've not heard back from him yet, but we have a school board meeting tonight. You can bet if he doesn't bring it up -

    People don't want religion in schools or even advertisements for that matter, arguing that it could influence their children in a way the parents may not want them to believe or think. There should be NO politician coming into our schools saying ANYTHING, period.     (more)
