They are sitting there holding somewhere around 30 trillion dollars of US debt. Now that our markets are in a freefall, they are feeling the pinch, too. All you have to do is look at the Euro to know what a disaster the Russian/Chinese plan would be. I find it amusing that a world currency is the only issue other than North Korea that Russia and China agree on. There is a reason that the leading nations in the world have the dollar as the mainstay. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. (more)
