i consistently wonder why the United States government would oust people like Jean-Bertrand Aristide from Haiti when he was pro-modernization, progressive, and a fully democratically elected leftist. the United States continuously supports coups with the sole intent of keeping emerging westernized governments in subservient positions which in effect creates a backwards evolving society for the simple objective of American imperialism.
