posted May 02, 2008 11:34PM GMTLija is still allowed to come on. She generally spends her web time on the 'dungeon & dragons' style games. Thank you for checking on me! I hope all's well!

Hope you're having a good week. Take care! -
posted Apr 13, 2008 01:12PM GMTHi again...No I'm actually disabled & unable to work, but I have been told I should've been a teacher. I sometimes help the neighborhood kids with papers & such. I suck at math & science but am really good with language & history etc. I consider your question a compliment so, Thank you! =-)

posted Apr 10, 2008 07:48AM GMTD,, Thank you for the great history lesson! I had no idea there was such a rich history of female leadership in African Society! I did know about the shamans & such but didn't know they actually ruled. Cool!
Ireland had many female rulers in ancient history (I'm 2nd gen Irish-American) until the Catholic church took over & put women "in their place" Gggrrrr. (I mean wasn't it a woman who raised the son of God???)
When I was a small child I became aware of a Congresswoman from Texas named Barbara Jordan & for years she was one of my heroes. She was the most eloquent,& powerful public speaker I have ever heard. She was an amazing woman who inspired all women to stand up for what they believed in. Look her up, too. =-)
I glad your dad encouraged you to be a leader. Mine just told me I wasn't "like other kids!" (That made me think I was a freak for years... Haha)
