  I just made a collage on photobucket and used it as a background.
  To make a background on here go to the top of the page and click the account arrow and select "edit profile info". Then click "customize" which is underneath where it says your level. Click "add photos and videos". You can either find an image on google to use by copying the properties link (right click) or the copying the url (I forget which b/c it's been forever since I've customized). Paste into the bar under background image. Or upload an image you have saved on your computer (I've used pics of my pets and stuff before). Then choose color, image position, etc. Then save. You can also play with letter colors and stuff, as well.
  I hope my info helps. Like I said, it's been forever since I've customized, plus SH is always changing things these days.
