About Me
I never know what say in this forum. I'm just a normal average person. I like my self most of the time, try to live a good life where I treat people the way I would want them to treat me. I work hard, have two girls, one grandson and a husband. I am constantly being told to slow down by my husbands who thinks I work and play to much, I keep telling him I will stop when I'm dead. Other than that not a lot to tell about me.
I'd like to meet:
Strange as it may sound I have always wanted to meet Hillary Clinton. I remember the first time I saw her in an intereview back in the 90's and thought to myself what a fasinating, smart interesting woman. I knew then she had a very public future ahead of her.
Activities:
I don't have many activities in my life right now. I have been so busy going to college full time (i am in my last class), working 40+ hours a week and dealing with a teenage mother and 1 year old grandson that I have lost out on the activities I used to love so much. I am hoping to take up biking again this summer, its been about 10 years since I have been on a bike. But once my daughter has graduated its back to finding myself again.
Interests:
Learning about anything. I have found the older I get the more I thirst for knowledge. The only problem I have with that is that I always think I am right. But then I think all people think they are always right so I guess I am not so different.
Other interests include reading, movies and I am hoping to start riding a bike this summer. I work so much that I don't have a lot of time to be very active. I read and watch movies late at night before I go to sleep and it's not unusual for me to wake up with a book in my hand. My husband works nights so I don't have to worry about bothering him with this bad habit.

Favorite Music:
OH MY GOSH!!! Love music. I listen to pop, rock, country, blues, just about anything that is not hip hop. I don't know if its my age (doubt it, I am only 38) or what but I don't like that style of music very much. What I am listening to right now is Queen Latifa, Paolo Nutini, Robbie Williams, Maroon 5, Train, Kenny Chesney, Halfway to Hazaard, James Blunt, and John Mayer. Right now they are my favorites
Favorite TV Shows:
Hmmmmmmmm, I like Criminal Minds, House and October Road, sometimes I will watch American Idol, just to keep up on who is good and who I might be hearing on the radio soon. But I don't watch it every week.
Favorite Movies:
Well for someone my age this will sound nuts but here goes, Harry Potter. I can't help it I love the Harry Potter movies. I'm not even sure why, but they take me away from my problems and my troubles and take me on another journey. It's just a nice a break from reality. I also love Star Wars and comic book movies like Batman, Spiderman, Superman, X men, Hellboy, The Crow. Oh and anything with Jonny Depp, I have 12 of his movies.
Favorite Books:
Again Harry Potter. But I do also love Anne Rice, Steven King and smutty romances from time to time.
Favorite Quotes:
I'll rest when I'm dead.
Favorite Heroes:
My mom!!! She is completely amazing.
But if we are talking about cartoon superheroes that would have to be Spidey and Batman. I can't wait for the new batman movie next summer. The Dark Knight.
People I consider modern day hero's are Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter because after their presidencies they didn't just stop working for the people they continued on with a different kind of fight for the people.
Hillary Clinton for being a smart, strong, woman who is has dedicated her life to the working people and the poor and less fortunate of this country and countries around the world.
Maya Anjelou for being an inspirational powerhouse and another smart strong woman. Al Gore for bring light to global warming and finally getting peoples attention about this very real problem, that includes me.
And Angelina Jolie for her humanitarianism all over the world.
I used to have Oprah on my list until a couple of years ago, but I don't think she really does all of that humanitain work for nothing, I have begun to think in the last few years that she is actually a power monger, which offends me. But I did used to love her.

Hi~ Is that a picture of your grandbaby? Beautiful...
Sissy
You were doing just fine and that's why I thought I better let you know that I didn't mean to butt in. I know when conversations are going on, on some threads both sides get a little testy because of interruptions!!
Having been a rabid follower of the Watergate years, I found that Liddy was the slimiest of the slime balls involved. The idea that he was a "Great American Patriot" absolutely made me see red.
Thanks pal. I appreciate your understanding and again, really appreciate your posts.

Hi demfor08
I just got off the "G Gordon Liddy" thread. I hope you didn't mind me jumping in on your conversation with that twit, but I couldn't help it. I could not believe the hypocrisy of some of these clueless nincompoops.
Anyway, you sure have an adorable baby here.
Have a great day,
Hugs,
Sis
