True friends--they are few and far between.

Since I am confined to a power wheel chair or scotter I am limited to mostly sedentary things--watching movies, internet, listening to music and my one physical activity aquatic exercises.

  • Thank you, Greatbear. That video brought tears to my eyes, and reaffirmed why I am proud to be American!

    Unfortunately, I was out of the country last week while the Thunderbirds were at MacDill AFB in Tampa. We attend the air show every year, and looking forward to seeing the Blue Angels again next year. I am in great need of an air show fix...lol!

    You are retired Air Force, I see. Thank you for your service and patriotism. I am proud to have you as a SodaHead!

    +6 raves I've had dogs and cats over the years since I was a child and never gave much thought about w... I've had dogs and cats over the years since I was a child and never gave much thought about where they came from until today. I had my last dog in 1999 and thought I would never have another pet when she was gone. In 2008, my wife brought home a cat she adopted from a shelter because she felt it would be company for me since I am home alone a lot. I am dependent upon a power wheel chair to get around so a dog would have been difficult for me to take adequate care of so I had ruled out getting a dog. I have come very attcahed to the cat and she to me. She must have been mistreated since she acts scared if voices are too loud or if anyone moves too quickly. She is especially sensitive around women therefore we think it must have been a female who abused her and throw her out when she was pregnant. Over the last year it has been great to see her gain strength and how affectionate she has become and what a great companion she is to me.
    When I think she would have been put down if my wife had not taken her I know it was meant for her to be with me.
    There are many cats and dogs who have been abused and cast out by their friends and it is better to save them and give them a second chance at a good life raher than see them put to sleep.     (more)

Obama even sued banks on behalf of ACORN to force them to make mortgage loans to minorities who were borderline or at risk borrowers. Therefore, Obama and his pals bare responsibility along with Bush for the economic collapse and now Obama has many those responsible for the crisis trying to fix it. (more)
