This is exactly what the Spirit has been saying to me about now, about Obama, about the future. I am in full agreement in my spirit. Pray for our president, there is so much potential there. A man not afraid to change his mind and his position even if his constituents don't like it. His love for Lincoln is good - he may be the president that frees our nation from the ravages of abortion....setting unborn babies free to live their lives. I think he is listening to the good, wanting counsel, and making his decisions more independently...something is up with him, and it feels good. Good word about fear. Fear is crouching at our door and we must master it!!! Who's the boss anyway? (more)

I only know of the vote on the ban to kill babies that survive abortion, I have not checked on the other two bills. Obama was the ONLY senator that voted "present". Every other senator voted YES - to BAN the killing of babies that survive abortion (they come before the doctor can get there to start the abortion, or they escape the birth canal so quickly that he cannot get his tools in there fast enough to put the scissors to the brain and vaccuum them out). Sorry, graphic, but that is how partial birth abortion is conducted. Very Hitler-era-ish, huh?? Absolutely NO value for human life. We treat unborn baby seals better than we do our own kind. Shame shame shame on America.

Grandma, you and I are on the same side. I lived in Il for many years, and still have friends there,in public office. They told me that Obama voted three times to allow the murder of babies, that survived abortion. When I was in office, the present vote was counted with the majority. My friends did not tell me that he voted present, they said he voted for the killing ofthe babies. That may not or may not be true, I haven't checked.

I was in office for almost 12 years, a present vote does not meant a no vote, it means your vote will go with the majority vote. I would like to know where you get your facts on Obama voting present, so I can look it up. Lannie, you must not be following this election very close. I've heard Obama say one thing to a group in California, and somthing completely different to a group in Pa.

I was not attributing this to a debate. This is what I know to be fact. In the vote to ELIMINATE the ban on killing babies that survive late-stage abortion - i.e., they're born before they can be killed inside the womb, or the doctor messes up and the baby exits the womb having survived, Barak Obama voted "present", rather than "yes" or "no" to let those babies live. A "present" vote is tallied as a "no" vote - all legisators know that. It is a convenient, non-committal way to vote "no" when you don't want to vote "yes", but don't want your name to be tallied under the "no" votes.
My "mouth" - i.e.,my voice to "speak" (or type) is my right under the freedom to speech and free press, sir. So is yours, and I would fight to uphold yours as much as mine. People like you will not silence me, though I respect and honor your right to try.
