    Minimum wages as supposed to help the poorer members of our society. The do the opposite. Every time the minimum wage is raised the workers who were working for a lesser wage find themselves without jobs. The more senior workers demand and get a raise. The price of everything goes up. People on fixed incomes struggle to make ends meet. Then some economically challenged politician proposes raising the minimum wage and the inflation cycle starts again.

    When my wife and I owned a business we would have liked to hire a teenager to answer the phone (this was before cell phones) and make appointments. We could have afforded about 80% of the minimum wage so we either worked longer hours or lost appointments. Some teenager missed out on the work opportunity and some spending money.     (more)

    6. a fuzzy thinker that wants all drug use legalized so it's easier to further destroy her brain.
