About Me

Starting all over in my 60's. Began working at age 18; self-employed the last 28 years. Lost everything due to drastic drop in work and stupid decisions on my part but wouldn't change a thing because of the people and things I've experienced; pretty much worth it. Not easy, mind you, but worth it. Meanwhile, I'm stabbing around in the dark attempting to get back into the swing of things and rebuild all over again. It's hard for an old maid like me but I won't give up.

I'd like to meet

Men and women who like to chat; good sense of humor a must; but not interested in any fanatics or "screamers" who resort to foul language instead of clear thoughts. I don't mind the occasional word or two, when appropriate, but constant F-bombs and character assassinations turn me off.

Activities

Presently not much; just walk a lot. Whoopee.

Interests

I enjoy people of all types. Reading. Some traveling, although not too much. TV. Golf (strictly an amateur). Good food generally but particularly Oriental (Korean) food.

Favorite Music

C&W; always, but I like all kinds of music except most rap, because I can't understand what they're saying. The rap beat is usually quite catchy, but I've had the experience where I'm tapping away at a rap performance and a friend has clued me in on what he was actually saying. So I stay away from rap.

Favorite TV Shows

Bones; The Mentalist; CSI (all of them); History Channel; ID Investigation; Animal Planet Cops series; Criminal Minds; Big Bang Theory. A whole bunch of crime type and then sitcoms. I enjoy most of them.

Favorite Movies

Have to think about that. I have enjoyed many.

Favorite Books

Need to think about that as well. I've read a lot over the years.

Favorite Quotes

I'm not great at memorizing, unfortunately. There are a few I like but can't repeat.

Favorite Heroes

My father, who made a big difference and contribution to our country; Ronald Reagan; Laura Bush (class act); Audie Murphy; George Washington; Bob Hope. Lots more.

awesome thanks! Korea is beautiful, i love Asia- i know its a big place and everyplace is so different. Ive studied Japanese on my own for awhile, Ive watched alot of Korean movies and "duramas", They have alot of good ones- I know I like the sappy romance over the top stuff- kinda sissy for a guy but its fun. lol

I am glad to know that ur dad was around. I'm not really sorry that i missed out that much because i saw what kind of person he was n it wasnt something i wished to be around. And finding a positive male role model is kinda hard now. But thank u !

I don't think my salty tongue translates to an inability to converse in grownup language or to refrain from cursing. I do choose to cry BS when necessary. I appreciate your words and hope that if I do violate my own rules, you will call me out on that. I have no desire to alienate those willing to listen or learn or exchange ideas. I will not waste my time on folks that are ugly in nature. There are people with a chronic inability to talk reason.

It was a lot different in the early sixties regarding the military. It wasn't exactly a piece of cake going in when I did ('77).

It sounds like you had a very unique upbringing! I bet that was fun. That kind of travel makes for a well rounded and more intuitive person, I think. More open to different experiences and not so bound to a certain ethnocentric ideal. I'd love to hear your tales! Nothing like hearing great first person sea stories!
