    +5 raves I realized this at a young age, when I first read the Bible and in Catechism. There are many vers... I realized this at a young age, when I first read the Bible and in Catechism. There are many versus, in the Bible, which if followed today we would be far worse people. What I realize is the Bible is written by many humans, who have related their experiences and knowledge of God and Christ it has been translated over and over and over and over again....... I fear it has lost some context.

    For me though through what I feel in my soul I believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I do my best not to pass judgment, as I do not want anyone passing judgment on me. For my transgressions are mine to answer to, I am repentant, remorseful and relieved as God is a forgiving God. I would prefer to live and let live and let God sort out the details. But sometimes I depart from this and bring certain chapters and verse to others attention.....for their edification.

    I do love the point this West Wing episode makes and I could not agree more.
    My religion is mine, but it may not be suitable for someone else. Who are we, as people of a this great democracy, to tell others what they can and can not believe. Religions is truly personal choice each person must make on their own....unfettered by other People or our Government.

    Also, I do not want any religious beliefs (even Christianity) co-mingled with our Government. I am a Christian who believes firmly that church and state must be separate.......and I vote.     (more)
