  • Your welcome. It was a really good blog. Most of the time you can't get a decent discussion going without being judged as going to hell or name calling. I'm a Unitarian Universalist and we teach and support all religious beliefs and also many Atheists in our church. I try to respect all beliefs but some Christians get me so frustrated and some nasty one's I give hell to and I Know I shouldn't.

  • I'm glad I could help. Really it does take a time to get use to it so don't give up to soon it does make a big difference. My husband does;t seem to need it any more he is sleeping fine. I think that it taught him how to breath right or something.. I'm sorry you are in pain . I have back problems and in paiin off and on but not sleeping always makes it worse. Good Luck. I love your picture of Obama.

  • Thanks for the comment Tom. You sound to me like you might be a Christian. I use to be a Christian but now I believe in a higher power. You seem to have the same problem my son and I do. He is a fundamentalist Christian and he told me since I wasn't saved I was going to hell. Actually I have been saved more then once.

    The thing is I'm more tolerant of my son's beliefs than he is of mine but that may be because I'm more mature and because Unitarians are taught to respect all religions. When my son comes to see us we say grace with him and my grandson where ever we are and we go to his church when we are in North Carolina. I do believe my son and I should respect each others beliefs but if he doesn't respect what I believe nothing I can do. You don't have to like what you mom believes but it does help if you respect the fact that what she believes is doing something for her. I won't fight over religion with my son it's more important that I let him know how much I love him.

  • My mom is a Unitarian... She believes in a God, but she thinks that souls have their own energy, and God doesn't make decisions, our souls do on the "other side." To be honest, I think her beliefs are ridiculous... They have no basis. She interprets the Bible in the ways that she wants to, and ignores the parts about hell - the parts that she doesn't want to believe. Ehhhhhhhhhhh. >:(

  • Thanks, you too. I hope I see you around on some good questions. I'm not a Atheist but I belong to the Unitarian church and we respect and teach all beleifs. Our last minister was a Atheists and the biggest number of people in church are Agnositcs and Athiests so most my friends are one or the other.

    I like to get on the Christian questions and give them hell. I really like to get to the phoneys and hypocrites. In fact, I have gotten quite good at it. LOL Thanks for being my friend.

  • Jen, I lost a son (12 years old) this past february (the flu), and I was sorry to see by your post that you had to go through that too. (in the military)
    Sodahead certainly seems to be a site for haters. I had one woman who got angry at my politics, and then found, through my profile, that I had lost a son, she then proceeded to taunt and tease me about his loss. I ignored it,,,, but I was still amazed at her lack of humanity.

  • Thanks Jimmy I did. I made 50 cup cakes for our church and then went and served lunch to 45 people from other churches. Then make tis gread desert for a dinner party we went to. More work on Sunday and a wonderful sermon. Hope you had a gread week end also. Your picture here made my day.

The value on my house here in Florida one of the worst hit is actually starting to clime instead of going down.

    We live in a area that is always hard up for jobs because we have no industry but guess what we saw today? Target, Wall Mart , IHOP and a couple of other small business actually had signs out 'HELP WANTED" .     (more)

They took sex education out of our schools and forced abstinence only on us and then made us pay for it. They have are now trying to reverse Roe VS Wade and it won't be long.
