  • Don't despair, Knot Rich. We care because there is no time to waste being depressed. Failure to protect our nation's constitution is not an option. Without our participation, this country will cease to be free.

This is the most awake I've seen our citizens in a very long time. You have a lot of like-minded people trying to rein in out of control government. On Saturday, Sept 12, during the March on Washington, D.C., thousands will speak up. I expect the MSM will cover the event to capture the images of the trouble-makers sent in to make them look like extremists. What comes next remains to be seen.

We must support the peaceful right of public protest, even if we aren't in Washington, D.C. Many will gather in front of their local Town Halls. Even there, we will see some who try to derail the right of protest.

  • In all my life I have never seen the American people so polarized and divided by political manipulation. Even during the Kennedy/Goldwater campaigns, where there were wide philosophical differences and a war on the horizon, the people were not so divided, and came back together after the election.
In all my life I've never seen so many Americans so apathetic to the actions of their government, lethargic and lazy, preferring to grow fat in their recliners rather than participate in the governing of their country, oblivious to the future of their children.
Sometimes I grow weary, and wonder why should I care any more, are there enough people remaining who care to make the effort worth while?

Tall, short, big, small, black, white, blond or green hair, it might be something I initially notice but it soon all fades away depending on what comes out of her mouth. An inner beauty, as well as an inner uglyness, will always quickly over shadow any physical appearance, and it's not the physical person I need to relate to but the human inside. I'm not that shallow that I really give a rats ass what people think about who I walk around with, it's all about who I can relate and converse with. (more)

Oops, sorry, it was just more Wall Street bankers pissing on my head, probably from all that champaign I bought them for screwing up the economy so bad.
Once they have paid back ALL the money, plus interest, we the taxpayers have dumped into their pen for them to wallow in, then, and ONLY then, should they get bonus checks. While they're using my money, they're simply wards of the state.

I like Sen DeMint, I find him, for the most part, to be honest and upright, so much more so than Sen Graham. I'm going to call him tomorrow and find out what's going on. If Obama doesn't want Jim there, then there's something Obama doesn't want exposed. Jim normally isn't afraid to throw what he knows out to the press. (more)

I'm watching this with real interest, the outcome here will be an indication of who really is in control. Let's get real, this is not about jobs, no one cared when over 750,000 textile jobs just across the Carolinas were lost overseas, 5,000 is like pissing in the ocean. The Obama administration imposed the tariffs for their benefactor, the United Steelworkers Union, payback, plain and simple. But, here's where it will get interesting, our government needs to borrow more money from the Chinese in order to keep from going broke next month. The Chinese have said they'd do what needs to be done to protect their workers and economy. So, will the Chinese use their power to control the American economy to force the administration to back down from this tariff? If we do back down, what message will this send to the American people, and the unions? I'm anxious to see how this plays out, I'm sure governments in other countries are also.
Don't be fooled folks, this is power politics at it's best, 2 of the greatest economies on the planet head to head. They need our business, we need their money, Keep your eye on this match, the winner of this goes on to the heavyweight championships, the loser goes back to his corner to lick his wounds.

It costs money to run a site, and we can be sure, if it had to depend on contributions from all us SodaHeads, it would most likely go out of business.
I'd rather see the site remain, I can simply ignore the ads the same way I can ignore TV commercials. It's just the price we pay for having this site for us to use for "free".

Don't bother telling that to the new people who are standing in the unemployemnt line though.
Next time I have to go, while I'm sitting around for hours waiting, I think I'll have to perform a little survey, just to get an idea of how many of the people there voted for Obama, and if so do they believe his policies are working. Inquiring minds want to know.

I'd use it, like some others say, same as I do alcohol, at home, Friday evening buzz as I sit on the back deck and chat with my wife. Life is hectic, we run wide open all week, Friday evening is our time to kick back on the back porch (we call it "porchin") catch a light buzz, I like my Gentleman Jack or Wild Turkey American Honey, she likes her Ameretta, just mellow and chat, watch the sun go down, until whenever. I'd use pot the same way. It has it's useful functions, and just like alcohol, which I feel is far more addicting and dangerous, needs to be used maturely and sensibly. How the government can legalize alcohol and tobacco for adult use but not pot is beyond rational thinking. (more)
