The neighbor may have made an honest mistake but that was quickly apparent to the policeman whose responsibility at that point would be to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disruption and leave his home.

    There is no responsibility for citizens to welcome police officers accusing them of breaking into their own homes. There is a responsibility for the police officer to protect the rights of that home owner whose privacy was invaded.

    Figure it out people. Do you want a police state where police can to your house and property and demand anything of you when you did nothing wrong? Remember that the rights you want to deny Gates in home are the rights you are saying you should not have in your own home.     (more)

I'm just saying that good ol' Jeb might want to think about the reason the stimulus wasn't in President Obama's campaign platform which is obviously that his brother hadn't yet collapsed the economy till the end of the campaign. President Obama is working on the issues that he ran his campaign on, but the economy became the priority when the economy collapsed. I definitely approve and I am very unsympathetic with the insurance industry whining about how hard it will be for them when Americans finally free themselves from the tyranny they have exercised over our health care for decades.

    As for their fear that employers will opt for only offering the public plan that can be address with regulations (say for the first five years) that all employers offer both the public plan and another plan and provide equal compensation for employees who choose either option. Then the employees can make their own choices.

    An important issue that is not being discussed since the election is that Americans must insist that the congress receive coverage through the public option. It is the only way to insure that the congress will not collude with the insurance industry to undermine the coverage offered under the public option. (i.e. we are now providing for ourselves what we have always provided for them)     (more)

    Corporate America and Multinationals want to have their cake and eat it too. They have been cheating the system and making a lot of money off the American people. They can either pay their taxes like good citizens or find another market. We have to tighten the laws and regulations that encourage U.S. companies to produce overseas and then bring their products back for our consumption.

    If they want to go let them go, but don't let them bring their products to our markets. We will have others here produce for our consumptions. This isn't just up to the President or the corrupt congress. Americans need to make this decision and stand firm against companies who do this and against politicians who enable them against our best interests.     (more)

She understands so much about the things that are confusing to most of us but she is able to discuss it all in a way that really helps. I hope that congress will use her knowledge to get reasonable regulations back in place so that we can protect ourselves in the future.

    It makes me so angry that these institutions will use our bailout money to fight or water down regulation.     (more)
