Almost 90 degrees the other day and its only mid April. We went on an evening art walk in our local big city and the bands were playing and the air was soft and mild and it felt like summer. I even saw some art I liked!
Yes, all is good here, especially after a nice warm weekend- just playing around with Venus data today, with a few sodahead breaks

Hope all is well by you. Any cool hikes lately? Can't wait to start doing some long bike rides through SW Wisconsin!
Cool! That sounds really nice - we are just being issued another winter storm watch here. You'd swear I live on Mount Ranier this winter. I think I will have to crack open some of your state's fine wines to survive this next storm ;-)
Cool - hiking sounds great right now! Never been to the American River, but I heard it occasionally has some good rafting. Enjoy the nice weather - we are gray, misty, and Wisconsin-like. Anyway, hope you had (are having) a blast on your hike. My wife and I are thinking of planning a hiking trip this summer or next in Oregon - have you done any backpacking in Oregon and, if so, do you recommend any good spots?
Hi Chris. I went to a day long retreat (a quickie, in retreat terms) today. At lunch I sat in my car and watched the clouds form, darken and release their rain. Mild stuff for you but every now and then a drop would hit the windshield flecked with ice and I thought of you and your study of that (to me) mysterious subject of weather.
Thanks! Yeah. They are an assorted bunch. The cloud one is near my house in Madison (I'm a big weather geek) and the really weird one is from a model simulation of a hurricane-like vortex and shows its eyewall at different stages of its lifecycle.
BTW, used to live somewhat close to the Flatirons myself (Fort Collins actually). I miss Colorado greatly, but it's fun living in Madison. Were you living in CO, or visiting?

And glad you like the music - thanks!
