About Me
I'm a scientologist and tripped over sodahead quite by accident. I was amazed to read about all the misconceptions about scientology. I just wanted to clear up the misconceptions based on my personal experience.
I'm a happily married woman, a mother of 2 teens, a professional in the legal field, and have a masters degree in business. I have friends and family from all walks of life, all religions, different beliefs, and they respect me and I respect them. I've been working for the same law firm for over 10years now. I'm the only Scientologist at the firm, and most of them are avid Christians. We respect eachother.
It saddens me to see people out there bashing others because of their beliefs. I hope that I can get some truth out there -- not with the purpose of "converting" anyone - but purely with the purpose of clearing up any untruths out there on Scientology.
My son, by the way, 19 now, is also a Scientologist. He's also an Eagle Scout, and volunteered in Louisiana following Hurrican Katrina. My daughter, 16, is also a Scientologist and is active in "Youth for Human Rights", "Say No To Drugs" and another group called "The Way To Happiness Foundation". (You can look them up on the website: www.scientology.org and www.whatisscientology.org)

That Guy in the Glass
(by Dale Wimbrow – 1934)
When you get what you want in your struggle for self
and the world makes you king for a day,
then go to the mirror and look at yourself
and see what that guy has to say.
For it isn't your mother, brother or friends
whose judgment you must pass.
the person whose verdict counts most in your life
is the one staring back in the glass.
You can go down the pathway of years
receiving pats on the back as you pass,
but your final reward will be the heartaches and tears
if you cheated that guy in the glass.

Angel,
Thank you for your comment the other day. You proved to me that you are the better person.
It's easy to come on websites like this and get involved in heated debates without considering that the person on the other end may be taking things seriously and personally. I try to distance myself from personal involvement, but after some thought, I realize that I would take offense if something that was very near and dear to me in my personal life, was put under a microscope on a public domain.
So, I am sorry for dehumanizing the user-to-user internet experience by underestimating the impact of dissecting something that means so much to you and others.
You're a bird person, too! Maybe we aren't so different, after all.
Have a beautiful day ;-)
