About Me

My name is Michael, and I'm a liberal humanist with strong passions in the fine arts, performing arts, and architecture. I live in NY.  

First...I don't block people...it's childish and cowardly. If SodaHead is for open debate, why are so many people afraid of it, and block? If you don't like, or can't take, an opposing viewpoint, you don't belong here.

Relaxed and laid-back...a live and let live kind of person, but I will speak up when others are oppressed or left behind, especially by the government.

  I enjoy talking on many different subjects, and will change my mind when I come across new information which forces me to reconsider my position. I like talking with independent thinkers...not those who can't break away from the crowd once and a while.

Interested in travel, art museums, art fairs, photography, theatre, modern dance, technology, 30s - 50s movies...I still have a few Frank Lloyd Wright homes I just have to see, hopefully this year or next. I like seeing and doing new things...

Some clarification is needed in the profile section, as the questions don't really cover all the bases.

I'm a liberal, but mostly on social issues...I'm not in favor of abortion except in cases of rape, incest, or if the mother's life is in danger, and believe that it's ultimately the woman's choice, and not the state or federal government's business. I tend to be a fiscal conservative and prefer small or no government. But anyone who thinks government will ever shrink is naïve, and is going to have a very long wait.

I consider myself agnostic, as I've always questioned the presence of a God, but I was raised Protestant, and I'm a strong believer in the teachings of Christ as a man, and not the son of God...The Golden Rule, etc.
