About Me

For those of you who have been wondering..

I am Canadian
I am also a US citizen

I have seen the once great nation of Canada
Slide into the festering cesspool of socialism.

A country that was once there
On the front lines of every great conflict.
Reduced to a nation who's navy sits in port
because there's no money for fuel.
Who's air force is grounded
because there's no money for parts.

A country that stormed the beaches on D Day
Reduced to menial roles in a UN exercise in futility.
Yes we were in Somalia. And it's still a war zone
Yes we were in Rwanda, Yet we had no ammunition in our
rifles. And more to the point, an order to not interfere.
800,000 dead later. And Mr Clinton has regrets.

A country that once welcomed anyone
Who had something to contribute.
But now panders to the dictates of those
Who call Canada their new Islamic state.

A country that respected freedom
And the God given right to worship
Now considers that freedom a hate crime
Where gay is the way
And if you disagree, it's prison grey.

What the fuck happened to my home?

And now I see it happening again.
Here. 30 years later.
Bit by bit. Freedom by freedom, right by right,
Compromised, by "tolerance"

But Canada still has hockey, so that makes it all ok.

And you thought that Escalade was cool...
Boeing 777 "crusing" at 28 feet!

  • Hi Volk,
I haven't been on SH for a while and now I see where you lost a beach house to Ike. I'm so sorry to hear that but so glad you're safe. You're such a nice person to open your home to others who lost theirs. Take care and I hope you don't get a hassle from your insurance company. If you choose to rebuild I hope it won't be long until you're enjoying those beautiful sunsets again.

  • Has Canada went the way of Brittian? I was in Canada some years ago...I loved the Canadians...and the super clean counrty...great fishing! The US will soon follow suit regardless of who is elected...there are people behind world elections with an agenda to suppress ALL and these elections around the world are nothing more than a farce to make us all belive we are still in charge!

  • Hi Volkl,
Canadian here, also. I agree with everything that you said. Used to be proud to say I am Canadian - no more. However, have you noticed that under PM Stephen Harper the economy/dollar has strengthened substantially.............I know you have. I believe many Canadians are flat out disgusted at some of the crap that has / is going on.
Are you aware that under the previous "liberal" PM's the border guards were disarmed (God forbid - they could possible "offend" somebody IF they flashed a gun). SO, everytime a convict/lawbreaker, whatever was thought to be heading for the border - they used to abandon their posts and close the border - GOOD GOD!!!!!!!!!!!
The BHO groupies just do NOT GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep up the good work. The United States is lucky to have you!!

Yes it's a novel idea. But what they have done is taken wine, which is usually 12% alcohol, and distilled it. You end up with 100% ethanol.
But keep in mind you are distilling nearly 8 liters of wine to make 1 liter of ethanol. Also we know that ethanol produces only 2/3 the power of gasoline.
So you end up burning more of it per mile.

And what about the impact of producing the wine?
How many acres of land is tilled releasing Co2 every time you plow it.
How many acres of grapes do you need to to grow to produce a tankful of fuel? That Aston would require nearly 670 liters of wine to fill it's 22 gallon tank. This one I can answer. 1 acre of grapes would produce enough wine to fill the tank 3.3 times.
How many thousands of gallons of water is used to irrigate the grapes?
And the thousands of gallons of diesel fuel burned to run the pumps that run the irrigation system? Or if the pumps were electric, how much coal or natural gas was burned to produce the power?
And then there is the concern of the wine fermentation waste water having an environmental impact and when combined with chlorinated water, ie. your municipal supply, forms a cancer causing compound called trihalomethane.

In most cases, the recovery period lasts only a few days. Take painkillers as prescribed by your dentist or oral surgeon. The following tips will help speed your recovery.

    * Bite gently on the gauze pad periodically, and change pads as they become soaked with blood. Call your dentist or oral surgeon if you still have bleeding 24 hours after your surgery.
    * While your mouth is numb, be careful not to bite the inside of your cheek or lip, or your tongue.
    * Do not lie flat. This may prolong bleeding. Prop up your head with pillows.
    * Try using an ice pack on the outside of your cheek for the first 24 hours. You can use moist heat-such as a washcloth soaked in warm water and wrung out-for the following 2 or 3 days.
    * Relax after surgery. Physical activity may increase bleeding.
    * Eat soft foods, such as gelatin, pudding, or a thin soup. Gradually add solid foods to your diet as healing progresses.
    * Do not use a straw for the first few days. Sucking on a straw can loosen the blood clot and delay healing.
    * After the first day, gently rinse your mouth with warm salt water several times a day to reduce swelling and relieve pain.
    * Do not smoke for at least 24 hours after your surgery. The sucking motion can loosen the clot and delay healing. In addition, smoking decreases the blood supply and can bring germs and contaminants to the surgery area.
    * Avoid rubbing the area with your tongue or touching it with your fingers.
    * Continue to brush your teeth and tongue carefully.
