If you are addressing me I don't know why you are so hostile. All I tried to do is show that both Bush and Obama have done things that take our personal liberties away, they have both lied or mislead the American people, the economy is in a shambles due to both parties except for a few who sort regulations for banks and reason in lending practices both administrations did Little to curtail the run away housing market and lending practices that were bound to lead to failure. If you do not want a free exchange of ideas, please block me and we can go our separate ways. You ask what would I have done if: 1. The country is drowning in debt --unprecedented government spending will only increase the debt, how can this help? Giving banks bailouts with out stipulations that they had to resolve the toxic mortgages was a recipe for failure (around 1% of problem mortgages were addressed meaning that the day of reckoning has only been post postponed--foreclosure rates jumped through the roof in June and as more and more adjustable rates cause higher monthly payments and balloon payments become due expect many more defaults. A lot of people do not realize or not want to acknowledge that many everyday working people whose only crime was to believe the advice the paid professionals gave them ...

A lot of people do not realize or not want to acknowledge that many everyday working people whose only crime was to believe the advice the paid professionals gave them in the most important purchase of their lives. Let's face it there was a widespread complicity to sell homes to any one who walked in the door without regard to income verification and the most important question when loaning money --does your income verify the ability to make payments? Plain and simple if there was not enough income to make payment and adjustable rates and balloons were added, this is a formula for failure and the banks intended never to allow th borrowers to remain in these homes. they had to know they were designing these loans for failure. Borrowers on the other hand, trusted all the professionals advising them this was a workable deal. Why pay for professional advice from those who were legally obligated to work in your best interests if you could not trust them? As far as granting financil entitlements as well as legal ones to anyone who croses our borders is shere folly. The only entitlement an illegal alien has is to be teated humanley while awaitng deportaion. To propose new taxes, cuts in benefits to Medciare, Social secutiy, Veterans' benefits and the militray is out of line when promoting benefits to illegals. 2. The war on terror was an adequate response to 9/11 and bombing terrorist training camps a good move but taking our troops off the Tora Bora Mountains, where most of Alquida's leaders were surrounded, to attack Iraq under false pretenses was a grave mistake.Furthermore, the Taliban was on the run, the Afghan people were sympathetic to our cause when we transfered most of our troops to the Iraq invasion allowing the Taliban to exert it's control over vast region of Afghanistan -- demoralizing those who had supported us. Now Alquida leadership had time to spread out all over the world and the Taliban is stronger than ever while the Afghan people are afraid to back the US when withdrawal is on the table. Personally, I would have stayed in Afghanistan secured the people, helped build up their infrastructure, aided in the establishment of a democratic government (remember the support we had from women tired of being oppressed - now they fear what will happen when the US leaves and Sharia law is the order of the day). To stop calling it a war on terror and claim it is a legal issue is ridiculous when only the militray can respond to this world wide threat. Seucre our borders and enforce immigration laws.
    3. World peace at what expesne. An apology tour and alienating our allies does not contribute to world peace. Unnecssary invasion of Iraq under false pretense does not promote world peace. Refusing to oppose Iran's continued drive to atomic energy--and nuclear weapons--and failure to back not only Isreael but Saudi Arabia along with other countries in this region will not lead to peace. When the US is percieved as weak and without the back bone to stand up for it's best interests than there can be no peace. Unilateral reduction of our nuclear arsenal will not contribute to our securtiy or peace.
It has been hard to attempt to respond to the 3 questions you posed since these are complex issues. I am trying to show that both Bush and Obama have not been good for this country.

Bush started many of the things Obama has seized upon and expanded. No matter which administration we are looking at it is wrong to lie or mislead the public, it is wrong to violate the Constitution and the rule of law. Bush began the full scale trend to usurp powers to the executive branch not given it under the constitution and Obama expanded this to government by Czar. After 9/11 the Bill Of Rights was thrown out the window in the name of national security. Warrant less wiretaps are now warrant less digital strip searches and seizures. The Prez still has the right to detain anyone without due process for an unlimited time. Both Bush's advocated the NWO. Obama has proclaimed the goal of US National Security is to bring about a US lead global government (National Security Strategy released May 2010) subervient to world banking. The last two administrations have been a dark period for the constitution and civil liberties.
