What I find truly disgusting is our so-called "President", as well as former president Clinton, referring to patriotic Americans who exercised their rights to protest the Marxist goings-on in Washington by the vile and literally pornographic term "tea-baggers," which is descriptive of a homosexual act. The Lame Stream Media remains totally silent on these two supposed leaders of the Democratic party stooping to the use of filthy invective against their opponents. What else is new??? (more)

Not likely - the secular left-wing of this nation finds a particular reason to hate the Judeo/Christian religions because they realize that, despite their constant protestations to the contrary, this nation was founded on Judeo/Christian values. So long as Islamic radicals are campaigning against those of other religions, the secular far-left will see them as allies - as the saying goes "The enemy of my enemy is my friend!"

Check out this proposal by Prof. Randy Barnett, Constitutional Law Prof. at Georgetown Univ. His "Federalism Amendment" would reemphasize the restrictions placed on congress and the federal government's power in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution, as well as the Ninth and Tenth Amendments. It would also institute term limits on both the house and the senate!

They say they are going to autopsy these victims who died of gunshot wounds to determine if some were the victims of "friendly fire." Since they were wearing the same camos that the shooter was, the theory is that the armed police and military may have accidentally shot some of them.

If it did happen, the blame is still on the man who started the battle, so why should they even care? Are they going to do ballistic tests on the weapons of everyone who fired a pistol or rifle and then point to the individual(s), assuming it did happen? For what purpose? They know who the shooter was, can't they just leave it at that?

I had seen the bit where Milton Friedman schooled Phil Donahue, but capitalism has always been my choice. As Friedman said, capitalism has been responsible for producing more goods and services for more people than any other economic system in history. Without the economic freedom brought by free enterprise, all other freedom and liberty becomes meaningless.

If you want a direct comparison between the two, just compare East Germany with West Germany, and North Korea with South Korea, over the second half of the twentieth century. How many Mercedes Benz, BMWs, Audis, Porsches or VWs did East Germany create and manufacture over those years? None!

Socialist/communist East Germany was a gray, dismal place, while free-market West Germany thrived, producing the greatest automobiles in the world. Can anyone name a single thing that East Germany exported, much less a world-class automobile?

Then compare North Korea to South Korea. North Korea can't even feed its own people, while South Korea has a booming economy -- exporting Hundaiis and Kias all over the world.

Closer to home, how many Cubans have risked their lives in leaky boats to get to Michael Moore's island paradise, Cuba? That's right - zero! In the meantime, thousands have risked their lives to get to the U.S. from Cuba.

As the Scottish philospher, David Hume, said, efforts to impose "perfect equality" always fail, because first, "man's different degrees of art, care, and industry will immediately break [the equality]", and second, it will "reduce society to the most extreme indigence; and instead of preventing want and beggery in a few, render it unavoidable to the whole community."

In other words, socialism, instead of improving anyone's lot, drags everyone down to the lowest common denominator.

This is a blatant attempt to get increased Democratic representation in areas of the country with a large illegal population. If illegals were not counted, California would lose at least three representatives, all Democrat. They are playing politics with our immigration policy, they are passing absentee ballot laws and laws forbidding the requirement of identification, all in an effort to allow illegals to cast votes. Sorry, but no "rebranding" was necessary. The Democrats are and have been the party of economic irresponsibility for years - their new regulations during the Clinton administration, creating the "subprime" mortage, forcing lenders to make bad loans and then encouraging their GSEs, Fannie and Freddie to continue to buy them even after the Bush administration warned about the looming catastrophe, were never reported by the MSM. Dems like Maxine Waters and Barney Frank got away with their irresponsible demonizing of those who wanted to regulate Freddie and Fannie, free to continue their irresponsible, socialist ways.

The only thing that has happened is that under the Obama administration it has become so obvious, with record deficits, and a higher national debt than the 43 presidents before Obama, combined, that the MSM could no longer hide it from the American people.

#1. Wouldn't want to unnecessarily honor the roll of the United States under the leadership of Ronald Reagan in bringing an end to the Cold War -- after all, hasn't he already apologized for it!
