I work out frequently, read regularly for relaxaton, work on political campaigns, I love my family and friends and am a dear friend and have some dear friends.

I read, I crochet, I swim and fish. I enjoy football, tennis, and golf. I can't tolerate close minded people or biggots and I tend to think things through before I decide anything.

The only bright spot I see is the American people are awake and if they do this it will be the end of many of the worst of them. But we all know the chances of repealing this is it passes are slim to none. There are so many reforms that they could pass without breaking the bank. Pass a legislation that forbids the drug companies from selling their drugs in the United States for more than they sell them for in the bordering countries. Pass a legislation that requires the insurance companies to have standard rates for all families and individuals that are fair to all. Write out the ability to soak a person who has a pre-existing condition for coverage for everything else with some limits on the first year for the already existing conditions. Pass tort reform that causes doctors to practice defensive medicine. They cost millions yearly in every state because they have to cover every basis in case they get sued. A full body MRI for a sprained ankle in a fall for instance. That is not indicated or needed but I had one recently. Why if a month from now I come up with some pain I can not go back on the doc and say he did not check for other potential problems. I mean come on folks that is absurd but that is defensive medicine and we are all paying for it. I had a surgery on my elbow and they wanted to do a pregnancy test even though I had a total and I mean total hysterectomy. The reasoning I was of childbearing age!!! The tests are so endless and rediculous that it defies belief!!! Those sorts of legislation would save billions and not cost a damn penny to the taxpayers!!!!! (more)

One of the most powerful unions in his corner is the teachers and to piss them off will cost him BIG TIME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am also a teacher and when I look at the hours I spend at night grading papers working on lesson plans and fielding calls from parents I already am beginning to think you make as much per hour working at McDonalds. They give us high stakes tests that no matter how well the kids do all year can cause the kids to fail, then they interrupt our day so he can chat with the kids on our instructional time and now this. What does he have against education? He can't pay for it now. How many teachers would leave the profession if he did this and we already have a teacher shortage. This would cripple the system that is already so overburdened with rules and regulations that make us not teach like we should but follow a curriculum that forgets that we need to do things like reteach if we don't want to leave the kids behind. To move on like they want when the kids are having problems is sheer silliness as we all know. (more)

    +4 raves You know I watched that match and the call was a bad one. Did that give her the right to go off ... You know I watched that match and the call was a bad one. Did that give her the right to go off like that? No, but if they review calls the line judge should be sanctioned too. You just don't make a call like that on match point! This was really sad all the way around. So I don't think it should only be Serena who is fined but the judge too who made such an egregious call at such a crucial time in the match. But unsportsmanlike conduct is never acceptable even when you are provoked!!! (more)
