Please try to understand her fear and comfort her in anyway as she does it her way whether you agree or not. Maybe she refuses as she continues to keep hope. Hope is not a bad thing, it may be what she needs to do. Without hope you have nothing. Maybe someone else could stay in the room with her when your dad needs to walk out. Your post has a lot of common sense but you obviously think that so many characters in his life are not relevant to his judgement. I do not believe everything I hear, I discounted Sinclair immediately but the fact remains that there were MANY in his life thus my common sense says it is not just coincidental. I can discount one or two but not this many people. Ayers should be in prison today. Wright should have absolutely no followers and Rezko already is in the legal system. I could go on and on. The media didn't make my decision, I heard straight from Wrights mouth not to mention some from Obama and his wife. I have no choice but to accept Obama and hope for the best. It doesn't mean I have to like it or trust him. Trust, if real, will be proven. He has 4 years and I am waiting.

Well, I may as well go ahead and speak MY mind. First let me say that I do not believe media just because it is something I want to believe. Some of you ppl. are in such an uproar because this African-American man won the White House and is now yours and my President, so-called leader of the free world and some of you cannot stand it to the point that it probably hurts and that is sad. Janie be glad that he is a man not from a slave legacy, a civil rights background, or some million dollar making Harvard graduate (not that there is anything wrong with that), be glad that he was and is a hard working indivual that pulled himself up by his bootstraps to become that man he is today, but with some pl. you are damned if you do and damned if you don't I understand him because I, myself am very gregarious person and I will talk to anybody, why? because ppl. interest me. I guess you could sort of say I research them. 6-7 yrs. ago Pastor Wright came to my church for a revival 800 miles from Chicago for a whole week, I heard him a few times, but nothing lilke I heard from the sound bites. Same church, Farrakhan preached and would you believe from the Bible, from the Word! Unlike some others, I cannot believe EVERYTHING I read or hear, some things I have to find out for myself because unlike some others I want this presidency to go well, not for President Obama but for my, my children, my grandchildren, my country. I cannot write what millions will read and still say I love my country when I myself are writing things that could be construed as divisive. The ppl. you named for one, you know nothing of them except what you've read, and two., what has it to do with President Obama. I can and will not judge a man on another man's deeds, plus the Bible says "Judge not, least ye be judged. I BELIEVE THAT because I believe in God's infalliable Word. I could say a lot more but hopefully you will pray on your thoughts and ask God to truly give you a better understanding of you fellow man and yourself.. "If you don't love your brother, then you don't love Me" Have a Blessed and thoughtful day.

Oh Janie, you don't feel very, very scared and very, very sad, sad, now??? You are a hypocrite, why don't you just say the real reason why you are so, so, scared and sad, but I guess a GOOD christian like you would never say that. The next bus leaves for Mexico in an hour., maybe you w on't be so, so, scared and so very sad.

Yes, you are absolutely right. I haven't even been on the site because of great depression and disbelief. We have to hope for the best and the best is that we were wrong. If so, I will say so, if not Oh well, we tried to warn everyone.
