I understand exactly what you mean. But we were also made aware of the wiles of satan and how to defeat him and given power to do so. Still.......it is hard! It is in our spiritual nature to love and embrace not to harm anyone. This of course is what the enemy counts on. It's a tough one to be sure.

I am on the second book of three that I have been writing for children, or young adults. When I was a child, the movies portrayed heroes who took the path of honor and loyalty. I work to incorporate these values in the stories I have created, making such honor and loyalty pivotal to the main character, a dragon with golden-feathered wings and the iridescent colors of the rainbow spectrum. So many children are dealing with death of parents or loved ones, as well as the horrors of life in some areas of our country, I feel my characters will fill a need that the old John Wayne and Roy Rodgers movies did for my generation. ------ Your avatar especially interests me, as he is a warrior of the crusade period. The effect you seem to be striving for is the warrior of honor. That is needed in our society, even though I know that the crusaders were not always the honorable heroes lore has told us. I praise your desire to promote the importance of self-truth, honor and loyalty.
