Yes there is. Chewy has taught me a few more lessons about the living and the dying when I get it all sorted out the sadness and loss will pass. Those empty spots in my life will become great memories.
Squint you are a nice man and I might add a nice looking man which always looks better when you have a warm heart shinning out for all to see. -
posted Sep 06, 2008 06:13AM GMTSo, there is still pain! Hopefully subsiding, but still there. I actually think the pain helps the healing, and the thoughts of the happy moments are a sign of that.

posted Sep 05, 2008 03:10PM GMTI am bothered at times. Especially the first time back to the Mountain. That is the town and house Chewy grew up in and spent most of her barking life. The first time I mowed the yard on the mountain tears came to my eyes. She use to love to lay in the cool wet freshly mowed lawn. She would follow me all over the yard laying in all her special I'm in charge spots.

posted Aug 14, 2008 04:03AM GMTThank You for your kind thoughts and words. I do miss her and can’t help but feel I did something bad to her. She was so proud looking so serene and very pretty. As a matter of fact she looked very young. I questioned what I was doing, but the vet did not.
