About Me
I am 50 years old and have a 21 year old son. I am an empty nester as he is in college. When I got my B.A. degree, double-majoring in Social Work and Criminal Justice, I was only 3 courses away from declaring a third major in Psychology. Although I have an M.Ed. in counseling and another certificate in Travel and Hospitality, I can tell you that being a mother and raising a wonderful young man is my greatest achievement. I am very family oriented. I have many friends that I enjoy spending time with as well....one group of 7 girls have been friends with me for 32 years. I have been blessed beyond measure. I am currently working on getting a certificate in Medical Coding so that I have more options with my employment, as my personal health has become an issue. Although I am conservative politically, to look at my style you would never guess that. I like to dress funky and bohemian.

Anything artsy appeals to me. I started college as a music major with piano before I changed my major to counseling. I also had an opera quality soprano voice before I developed asthma, thanks to a doctor giving me an allergy shot which was too strong and I had an allergic reaction. I enjoy stamping cards, sewing, cooking, and scrapbooking as well as gardening. I also enjoy reading and writing poetry. I could be described as a renissance woman. I am definately a southern belle from the old school. I also enjoy going to the target range and shooting.
I like all music except (c)rap. If I want to feel energized I listen to Mozart or techno. If I want to relax, I listen to Beethoven. I enjoy listening to rock n roll, jazz and country as well.

I have heard that he was severely physically abused by his father and that he was pretty much alienated from other kids outside of his family because of his fame. His mother seemed to be in total denial whenever he was brought up on charges. Perhaps denying the truth has been a defense mechanism for her during her entire adult life, including dealing with an overbearing man like Joe Jackson. People who tend to have family secrets such as abuse tend to alienate a child's friendships as well. Irregardless, this is not a license for him to sexually abuse other children.....there are plenty of people who have suffered physical abuse and don't do as he did. (more) -

They have known for years that my generation (I'm 50) tends to purchase more foreign vehicles because they last longer and are of better quality....not trying to be antiAmerican here, just truthful. They should have improved the quality of the Ford and GMCs and Chryslers. It is their own fault for taking shortcuts and compromising quality like so many businesses do in other products to influence their profit margin. They have done it to themselves, and have heard the warning alarms on this for years, so why should we bail them out ??? (more)
