+4 raves I heard Wilcox being interviewed on Coast to Coast AM. Apparently Bazata kept a diary concerning... I heard Wilcox being interviewed on Coast to Coast AM. Apparently Bazata kept a diary concerning his missions or maybe wrote about them after the war in the diary. Either way, who is going to record something like that in their diary only to show it decades later if he was lying about it. Bazata definitely was who he claimed to be. I doubt very much he recorded it for bragging rights later- he recorded it because he did it and only showed the diary decades later to prove it. I can easily believe that powerful people ordered it seeing as how Patton was about to piss in the pool of the Army and ruin the reputations of many high power players. Its a shame that we Americans never seem to be able to find out how scuzzy the powerful are before they end up in even more powerful jobs. Even now, 60 years after some events, we are just beginning to hear and learn about things which would turn many of our heros into traitors if the truth were known. I guess Pappy Boyington was right when he said "Show me a hero and I'll show you a bum." (more)
