About Me

I'm a mom of two, and they are the most amazing kids in the world, even if they don't always act like it. I am a part time student, but a full time Nerd. I am currently working on my Bachelors in Political Science, and quite possible Economics as well. I hope to be finished by the end of the summer in 2010. Then onwards and upwards to grad school where I plan on earning a PhD in Political Science and my JD concurrently. In other words I should be done with school by the time I reach retirement age.

The political realm is my passion. I am extremely vocal and opinionated when it comes to my beliefs. I do not affiliate with any predefined party and/or ideology simply because there isn't one which aligns with even a small majority of my beliefs. I am willing to listen to anyones views as long as they are presented with intelligence and backed by facts and logic. I do not tolerate asshattery and self righteousness. Passion for your beliefs is fine, but do not try to use emotion to sway me, it will not work. If you cannot debate intelligently, do not engage me in discourse, I will verbally bitch slap you and simply walk away.
I respect everyones beliefs and their right to hold true to them, all I ask is for the same respect in return.

There is also a goofy side to Me, and I immensely enjoy having fun, both here and elsewhere. I will post completely inane things, simply to make people laugh and have fun. However do not assume that due to the fact that some of my content is silly that I am stupid. That would truly be an epic mistake on your part.

Lastly, if you like interacting with me, reading my posts, etc... feel free to invite me. I do not invite anyone due to a completely irrational fear of rejection, so do not read into my lack of forwardness. However, if you have never interacted with me, or have nothing in common with me (not my politics) your invite will most likely be ignored. I do not care to be fodder for a contact collector.

You are The Chariot

Triumph, Victory, Overcoming Obstacles.

The chariot is one of the most complex cards to define. On its most basic level, it implies war, a struggle, and an eventual, hard-won victory. Either over enemies, obstacles, nature, the beasts inside you, or to just get what you want. But there is a great deal more to it. The charioteer wears emblems of the sun, yet the sign behind this card is the moon. The chariot is all about motion, and yet it is often shown as stationary. It is a union of opposites, like the black and white steeds. They pull in different directions, but must be (and can be!) made to go together in one direction. Control is required over opposing emotions, wants, needs, people, circumstances; bring them together and give them a single direction, your direction. Confidence is also needed and, most especially, motivation. The card can, in fact, indicate new motivation or inspiration, which gets a stagnant situation moving again.

The fact that the majority of the mainstream media is so quiet about the implications of the Republicans wins. Had the Dems won you know they would all be spouting about how it was more proof that America loves Obama. Since they didn't, all of a sudden the Governors races aren't important and are no reflection of how the electorate feels.
    Interesting to say the least.

People should never be made to feel inferior based on any superficial characteristic. The fact that this still plays the role that it does in this day and age is disheartening to say the least.
