Dear Madam Barnum: I RESIGN AS CLOWN!

Profile

About Me

* Laughing is the thing that keeps you young and happy, ADDED BENEFIT: it costs nothing. =0)
* I'm a perpeptual thinker and strive to have as many multi-angled views on life's many questions as possible.
* Understanding begins with listening.
* I appreciate balance.
* I keep things in my life as uncluttered and uncomplicated as possible. If others choose to live amongst chaos and negative energy that's their perogative, but I really do try to keep my life centered around simple, undiluted, and peaceful things.
* I have a simple eye, yet notice the smallest of details.
* I've got strong scorpio characteristics and traits, BUT not sure if I believe in that kind of thing.
* I appreciate a well educated & executed argument, but refuse to interact with those who resort to personal attacks and name calling.
* I'm a proud bookworm and I love libraries and bookstores (which should go without saying, but oh well!)
* I love to discuss almost anything under the sun! I've read some very absorbing things from interesting people on SodaHead, and look forward to finding more...

I'm not big on the wholeTV thing, but I do watch some: Big Bang Theory, Green Acres (I know it's corny, but what a simpler time that was!), Seinfeld, Cheers,Taxi, the old saturday morning cartoons, Keeping Up Appearances, Are You Being Served? and Three's Company.

First off, I HATE A LOT OF CGI ACTION MOVIES BECAUSE I'M NO LONGER 12 YEARS OLD, AND NEED SOMETHING MORE ENGAGING THAN 90 MINUTES OF FIGHT SCENES, CAR CHASES AND EXPLOSIONS!!! If it is CGI and isn't the Toy Story movies or something of the like from Disney, I probably won't watch it. I do however like: Basquiat, Doubt, I Am Sam, Bug, Lonesome Dove, Dumb and Dumber, A Mighty Wind, Breakfast At Tiffany's (I know it's a chick flick, but Audrey Hepburn's a cutie), Three Amigos, Donnie Brasco, A Hard Days Night, Bobby, The Iron Giant, T*A*P*S., Gladiator, Hot Rod, Life...whew, I'll have to come back to this one!

Many Years From Now, The DaVinci Code, Lonesome Dove, A Time To Kill, Lennon: A Life, The Love You Make (Beatles), Canerey Row, & most anything by Langston Hughes.

Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car."

"Time wounds all heels"
~John Lennon

"Life flows on within you and without you"
~The Beatles

"Dear Madam Barnum, I resign as clown."
DEAR MADAM BARNUM ~ A. Partridge

"The army's some guy you don't know, who sends you out to whack some other guy you don't know."
SCENE FROM DONNIE BRASCO ~Lefty Rugiero

"And that ball iiisss..... GONE!!!!"
~Vin Scully after a Dodger homerun.

Musically speaking, I've a few. John Lennon for his wit and candor, Paul McCartney for his melodies and commitment to animal rights, Sting because he's a true wordsmith, Andy Partridge and Collin Moulding for helping to keep my ears away from monotonous pop drivel, Robert Johnson, Son House, Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee for giving me the blues, Wes Montgomerey and John Coltrane for taking me places thru my headphones and all my literary heros of whom there are too many to mention.
