Me neither. I never think "oh, how fun it would be to go see a circus"
But when I actually am at one, I enjoy it. Agreed, I find clowns to be...umm...quite boring. I like magicians :D (if they're any good ofc)

I haven't been to the circus in a looooong time. I could probably do without the clowns, but I think it's fun to watch the acrobats.

Yeah, kind of like a circus. Rock concerts are a little like circuses. (Or would the plural form of "circus" be "circi?")
